I have started my build again...I will be installing some lighting and I am almost done with the stairwell leading to the second story...then I will start on the back wall. This will conclude the enclosure for the building. Then I will finish the ceilings and start work on the outside of the building which will be covered in chicken wire and hand plastered. Photos will be updated soon.

I will start to chicken wire the building and then plaster it in the next few weeks. I still have the ceilings to install and finish the upstairs door/trim.

I don't care what anyone else says, I freaking LOVE this! When I first saw the photos, I was really amazed. This thing is huge. Where are you going to keep it? I think this is really some stunning work. Keep it up. Can't wait to see it progress.

Right now I'm going to keep it in the garage. This is the first of a series of buildings. I have sketched out a church. a bakery, pub, office and apartment building. All of which will have complete interiors. From what I have gathered most people like the model. I have heard others argue that the building should be destroyed. I enjoy the entire process. It definitely relaxes me. Are you interested in 1/6? Some people say it's nothing more than a doll house. I have to differ....it is a military doll house:)

I'm with Ophelia on this one. The bigger the scale the more work has to go into it and this is a master piece. I've enjoyed seeing this work progress. I wasn't much of a fan of the Battle Barbies until I met a bloke who does them and I was impressed with the level of detail and accuracy that goes into them to make them life like. If I didn't know better I would have thought your photo's where of a 1:1 scale room. This isn't a Doll House it's an exercise in 1/6 scale carpentry and interior design.
Please keep up the great work.

Cheers, John

I started working on my model again...I am working on the roof...I decided to do the roof first and then I can plaster to the roof line sealing it all in...I have built my dormer windows and chimmey and I am working on a roof hatch...will update photos in a few days...I also have been placing some nice trim along the roof line and structure...Once I finish this I will begin the long process of placing the singles on the roof...

The rear roof is removable so I can access the 2nd floor. I am still debating if I am going to make the dormer windows static. The chimney will be covered with stone and then grouted. I will have to make supports inside the roof to support the weight of the chimney.

I started to shingle the other side of the roof...tomorrow I am going to make the 2nd dormer and then start making the dormer windows. The next step will be priming the wood and stapling the chicken wire to the walls....then the fun starts...plaster.
