been working on this for about 3 years...it will have complete interiors...the bottom floor is 3/4 done with working lights...the exterior will be stucco...it is over 6 feet tall and 4 feet wide...tell me what you think

i'm waiting till you have fixed your picture problem, but this looks already great.
Are this laser cut windows? Is it open on the backor willyou only see the interior from the front?

Does this build have a special purpose or destination?

unlike traditional dioramas of this size, the model will be enclosed from all sides. all the doors will open and you will be able to look inside through the 14 windows and operational doors. the roof will have a piano style hinge attached so access can be made to the third and second floor. the entire model will have electricity. this model replicates a german radio and command post. the model is made out of 1/2 cabinet grade plywood. the outside of the structure will be plastered. the replicated cobblestone was hand laid one tile at a time and then grouted. as for the purpose of the model...i just love modeling. i hope to enter it in a contest and then who knows...as for your earlier question, the windows were purchased (playscale) and then detailed. some furniture was purchased and other pieces were scratchbuilt. the doors are hand made as well as the trim and wall paneling.

It looks really, really great. But...why?? why this big? where are you going to put it?

I hope to enter it in a contest soon and then possibly sell it or hopefully have it displayed in
a miniature museum...I have been collecting the 1/6 scale figures since 98 and have over 400 hundred...i have several 1/6 scale vehicles as well...as to why i built this...i was tired of seeing the normal destroyed buildings and as you all know the buildings are never completed as to say they are one one or two dimensional...i wanted to do something different...the model is in the garage where i have been since the start of this build the idea is to complete a street corner with a cobblestone roadway and additional building fronts...it is large but i think it is a first...i've never seen anyone build a complete house before in this scale...

I think it looks great and shows great craftsmanship. Keep it up!

As for the question... "Why?"... Well that could be asked to people who build 1/35 scale kits also. Indeed I am asked that question all the time by most of the people I know... including my wife... "Why do you spend all this time and money to put together little plastic tanks which end up collecting dust on the shelf?". Of course, my answer is that I enjoy the building process and seeing them on the shelf. So, if it gives you that enjoyment... then keep doing it!

thanks claude for the comments. checked out your stuff...great work...as for my current model...i'm working on the second floor...this is the radio room, kitchen and bathroom. there is a second stairwell leading to the attic. there will be about 10 to 12 figures in this model along with several vehicles...i have to admit that i want to start my next project...a complete bunker with trench works...but that is for another day....the other thing i'm adding to this model is audio recordings...to bolster the realism...

Good eye Wayne...it is a .45...spoils of war my friend...this diorama will have lots of cool stuff in it...if you look closely at the magazine on the table...it is written in German...diorama making is just not about making the model...it's making the entire scene as believable as possible...right down to the wall plugs for the table lamps...

So Chris, you'd like to know our thoughts? WOW, a great job - well planned and well executed! I admire your talent. May I have it when you finish?

are there any other modelers out there working on this scale and if so what type of projects do you have going on? This project pretty much keeps me going...only if i had more money and a bigger house
