Some of the stuff presented here makes me turn green in envy (either that or the nuke plant at Lingen has a problem). Some great stuff, some beautiful ideas
After the camo-nets turned out a "sounds good on paper" stuff as
seen above I dropped that end went for a "dusty" look. Based on pictures of the Jaguar the skirts keep dust on the lower vehicle so here's my try:

Philip, well done!
Michael, with all that work to go, are you going to make it in time? If not, what kind of "overtime" would it take? I'm willing to consider extensions with a build this nice!
Tom
Thanks Tom, I hope it won't be necessary, if it was if would only be a day or two to give the paint time to cure between coats. It's winter down here and the cold slows the process.
I missed a few things of the list actually: rear track guards and rear-vision mirror. Just needs paint now.

Here is my entry for Tank Killers. It is an old Testor/Italeri HMMWV. I am trying to work thru my stash, it has no Photo-Etched parts. Sorry no durings, but the memory stick I use for models came up missing, it had the durings for a couple of different campaigns.
This will hopefully one day be done into a diorama from Desert Storm. Shows the crew after the missile was fired. I will post one picture in the campaign gallery. Any comments are welcomed.

Hi all, great looking builds being done by everyone!
Michael, the detail on that converted universal carrier is simply amazing!
Here is my finished Fujimi 1:76 - 88mm w/crew dio.
The crew where converted from 1:76 & 1:72 plastic infantry, their not real impressive close up but are an improvement on the crew that came with the kit.
I cut off some webbing etc. from some other infantry for the crews personal gear laying around.
The Dio is my first and is a bit crude overall but was a great learning experience as was having a go at making the conversions.
Thanks for a great campaign, looking forward to seeing everyones finished builds!
Cheers,
Tim

Tim,
Nice small size dio you have there. You gave yourself plenty of room and spread out the components nicely. Everything is not all grouped together.
@ everyone else its nice to see everyone getting their builds finished as the deadline approaches. You guys are doing some really great work.

Hey, all,
I pulled out the stops to finish my replacement entry. I have to say it's a kit I would never do again - the detail is nice in places but the fit is terrible and the tracks are too short. (I bought it originally to use the back plate on an Israeli target tank, so never intended to actually build it...) If I was serious about an SU-100 I'd get the Dragon kit.
The one snap includes a print of a photo I saw on the web that inspired me - I cannot now find the URL. And the pics are all from one side because I had a fatal heat-related accident with a mangled vynil track - a replacement plastic indy-link set is on order, doubling the cost of the project! When I get the new tracks on I'll build a plinth and those of you in the UK can see it at the Essex MAFVA club show (called "Present Arms") in Romford in August.
I'd think about the plinth this weekend, but tomorrow is the MAFVA Nationals show at IWM Duxford and I've got lots to do...

Really like the diorama, Firefly 74. Good composition- really like the pits for the spent shell cartridges. I really liked the positioning of the figures as well- really captures the action.

I don't think I will get the dio finished by tomorrow. All weekend I am working at Mid Atlantic Air Museum's WWII weekend...AWESOME show!
But I have made more progress...

Howdy all..
I'm on track to finish up my build by tomorrow night. just have to wait for my bit of weathering to dry to apply my final flat coat.
I noticed that the campaign was just moved into the past campaigns listing. Even though the end date is listed as June 6..
Just making sure I'll still be ok getting my photo's into the gallery tomorrow evening.
thanks.

Thanks for the feedback Sal and Eoin, the layout was the thing i was most happy with,as for the detail and painting.. well i obviously would have been better off doing it all in 1:35 scale! Next time...
Tom your SU100 looks great, just like the photo. I have to say i like the white trim, makes for an interesting scheme.
Nice to see everyones work coming together.
Cheers,
Tim

Just finished
Paint job isn't quite as good as I would have liked but I was in a little bit of a hurry.
One attempt to fit a 2pdr onto a universal carrier (or in this case a local pattern carrier) to make it more mobile. It was mounted on a hydraulic ram to allow it to theoretically fire in any direction but in practice I can't see it working very well.
It is however in my view the cutest little tank destroyer ever.
Only one was converted and later apparently converted back to an MG carrier.

Hey everybody,
Some great models being posted here!
Delbert, I'm not sure what's up with the campaign status, but as I won't have time til tomorrow to look at the gallery for ribbons you've got time. (And if you need more let me know.) My guess is it's tied up with time zones since this is essentially a website on California time while I'm on UK time...
Michael, that was some fast finishing! I'd hate to have to use that rig against anything bigger than a Panzer I though...
If anyone needs more time to get things posted to the gallery please let me know - otherwise I'll draw a line under it tomorrow when I get the chance to compile a list for ribbons.

Here are my 2 entries. The Pak 40 is the old tamiya kit almost straight from the box and with a gauze camo net, the 45mm is the ICM kit almost straight from the box and ready for a dio. I plan to have a dead gunner and the Dragon Panzer 1 with attending infantry moving cautiously past it. Nice to finally start producing instead of just collecting! Now, if I can just get the pictures to post...
Now I need some blue poster board and a manual for this technological marvel of a camera I can't work worth a pooh.

Michael, I'm not sure about the the term "cute" being used in reference to any piece of military equipment but that would certainly qualify. A neat one-off conversion for sure. is the gun actually articulated or repositionable?
Rich, That is a slick little dio! Great work and execution!

Aloha All,
Some very nice entries!
Delbert, very nice marder III, especially considering how fast you put it together.
Here is my meager progress. Since these photos I've applied the decals and will post that later tonight, although I had problems with them.
Tom, I think I will need an extra day or two to get another clear coat and washes and a flat coat before considering this one done enough for the campaign. Thanks!
Mahalo and more soon. -zon

Tom, well there is no point in having deadlines unless they mean something The paint finish isn't quite as good as I would have liked but not to bad for a 1 day job. I think it should be alright against a Panzer I, maybe up to a Panzer II?
Charlie, the gun on the model can be both raised and lowered, and rotated trough 360 degrees, just like real one. Although it becomes pretty clear that to fire it anywhere other that straight ahead the gunner would have to be standing outside the vehicle, or a contortionist. There are a couple of other photos in the campaign gallery:

Aloha all,
I had some trouble getting the decals to conform to the equipment clips and other texture and had some silvering between the circle and the stars. I think I will paint them next time. Anyway, the grouser racks and MG are added. Tomorrow I should be able to get another coat of Future on it and start a wash.

Don't know if this has been asked, but which M10 kit is that. It looks pretty good to me.

Hi Guys, Some very nice builds here right at the finish line I got in on this campaign late but followed since. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot from listening to what a lot of you guys had to say. Thanks
