I have propose this campaign earlier as "The Workhorse", I will like to change his name to Panzer IV "The Workhorse", here is the original proposal:

Hi, I will like to propose a new campaign, it will be called "The Workhorse" and is going to be about the Pz.Kpfw. IV and all his variants, any vehicle that has the chasis of an Panzer IV will be OK!. Like for example:

A.- Panzerkampfwagen IV (Pz.Kpfw. IV), Sd.Kfz. 161 from the A to the J.
B.- Sturmgeschütz IV (StuG IV) (Sd.Kfz. 167).
C.- Jagdpanzer IV, Sd.Kfz. 162.
D.- Panzerbefehlswagen IV (Pz.Bef.Wg. IV).
E.- Sturmpanzer IV (Sd.Kfz. 166).
F.- Heuschrecke 10.
G.- Flakpanzer IV Möbelwagen, (Sd.Kfz. 161/3).
H.- Flakpanzer IV Whirlwind.
I.- Flakpanzer IV Ostwind.
J.- Flakpanzer IV Kugelblitz.
K.- Geschützwagen IV.
L.- Nashorn (Sd.Kfz. 164) .
M.- Bruckenleger IV.
etc. etc...

You get the Idea. the scale is from 1/72 to 1/16, the time frame will be from february 2010 to august 2010, any theater of operations, any scheme, any country; any year; as long is "real", no "what if".

So? anyone in?

Byron

Ok, we have 2 that support this campaign, looking goood!!

The Panzer IV was a vehicle that went on throughout the whole WWII and after. was active in all the theaters, in a variety of schemes and diferent versions and modifications, it take the brunt of all the fighting that took place and has been little appreciated and overshadowed by the Panther and the Tiger. It deserves a campaign of his own.

So. are you going to sign in?

It would be nice if we show pictures of our progress, in order to keep up the interest, to me is good to see others modelers work and sometimes catch an idea or two. but is no mandatory. just a sugestion, Ok!! So be happy and carry on on those Panzer IV.

Hello All,
Remember that there were Pz IV used in some of the Middle East Wars of the late 40's and 50's. I might be an interesting Dio of an Pz IV vs an ISherman dueling it out way after the end of WW2.
Just a thought
Cheers,

Byron,

Thanks for hosting and for the campaign idea! I've enlisted on the offical Campagin page. I have one of the older Dragon Brummbar kits in the stash and will be building it OTB with some added Zimmerit. The start date sounds good to me as I now am currently involved in several campaigns at the moment.

Yeah!! I know the feeling; you could never have enough Panzer IV, F-4 Phantoms, P-51 and Me-109.

Welcome aboard Andy
