Thanks Jean Bernard for looking, you are a busy man again this days!

Indeed , it's big, it served already as photo background for a friends stand alone tank during an expo and i am already thinking of building an RC 1/35 tank equipped with a camera and play around a bit with that, just for the fun of it. LOL

Martyn, as i said , very easy to work with.
Sharp blades, wood glue , that's everything you need.
If they are warped a bit, reinforce it with cardboard on the inner side and put them under a weight while drying. This will be straight then again.

Have fun

Hi Claude. My subscription had lapsed and I received both issues I was due today. I came across this in the review section. Unfortunately, they didn't say any more than what you see below about it or provide any links to acquire it other than your name.

Fine Scale Modeler, May 2010, page 16.

Thanks Jim! Yes, i am aware of that ad.

I send them the book to do me some sort of review or presentation. This one was a bit minimalistic unfortunately.
Not even my webpage or the US-reseller is mentionned. Well... i didn't pay for it (except my costs to send them the book), and they send me the copy of the mag.
I have a good presentation this week in Xtreme Modeling No.39, had one last week in MMIR No.51 and have one in the actual Military Modeling.

In spite of all that Promo i am a bit disappointed that for the last three weeks i did not sell one book myself, perhaps some of my retailers, but i probably did already reach the potential buyers. I hope to have some more sales for the next Christmas season and my two expos in September.

Thanks again for the info

It would seem your book would have appeal to the medieval fantasy gaming and modeling set aw well. Your building techniques are easily transformed into any era. I'm not sure how the war gamers play, but I have seen some extraordinary buildings and landscapes.

Hi Rick

Of course you can buy direct from me, just go on my website http://www.diorama-clervaux.com and proceed with the buy with Paypal. (or click on the Banner below)

Shipping to the States is only 6.5 Euros and with the actual conversion rate you get it 10-20 % cheaper then the first buyers.

If you don't have Paypal i would advice to get it through my US-reseller Monroe Perdue.

Thanks for your interest

Rick, i forgot to say that the book is completely in english.

Ok, let's quickly move on to an update. I am moving very fast, hopefully not to fast. there will be a few details missing i will hopefully fix later.

The butcher shop is done

The fassade is not yet made and of course the lettering will be done also.
I whitened the window this time to show an unoccupied shop, hope this works.

I also started the terrain behind the houses. The main difficulty is to cover the height difference of 6 cm in a distance of only 10-20 cm. Stairs, walls are going o help.

A lot of vegetation is going to be planted there.
also.

Cheers

Claude it's looking better each time. I had checked out your Blog yesterday to see progress. Between all of the posting you do I can't see how you get any work done. Well waiting for further updates. Keep up the great work.

Claude, I don't really want to belabor a point, but this build isn't just impressive, it is EPIC! I had seen a few pictures of it before, but I did not know that you were on Armorama. I wanted to thank you for posting your build here to share with us. I wish you well and look forward to watching the village of Clervaux come to life in your capable hands

Here is a little update from me.
Most of the week was dedicated to roof tiling, of course after scratching and building the dormers

To the left of this house will be this gate, an entrance to some sort of park

This park was probably one of the first steps to the development to a touristic town.
Here is my start to replicate that gate

Finishing the roof covering now (alternatively to watching the Tour de France stage). After that painting the houses and fixing them.

Cheers

Beautiful work Claude! The stone work looks incredibly real. I'm really looking forward to seeing this at Euromilitaire.

Will you be there both days?

Thanks for the comment. Two days?
Look here:
Euromilitaire
I better be there the two days as one of the main "attractions"!
I will be the only one wearing a T-Shirt with this Logo

(Logo made by Alexandre from this board)

Thanks also Martyn and Randy

Yo Claude,

Nice ref pic of the park. Does the park excist today?

The vegetation, I think, will not be full grown in that time. That will be a nice view...a young and fresh park...or will it be distroid by the war?

Hi Nico, thanks for looking

I will do a hint of a park, as i do not really haver the space left for anything else, maximum 40x20cm.
It runs alongside the border of this module. Next to it, at a few centimeters only, will later run the river.

I will show the park intact, but am not sure yet what plants to use.
Absolut priority now re the two houses, then finishing the cobblestones and other detailing stuff, a few figures also.

I don't exclude the possibility to go to the expo unfinished (the park not yet made). I want to provide a great view in front of the houses, the back of it is, as i said, no absolut piority.

The language on the ref. pic, if anyone is interested, is Luxembourgish.

Everything is looking great as normal. Are you going to post more pictures once these houses are done? So we see how they kit into the diorama? I always enjoy looking at your updates. Hopefully when I get to come back over to Europe you will have a permantant place to display it so I can see it in person. Good luck with all the work.
