Hello All,
Who is up for a new Blitz Campaign? Starting in November 2010 and running about 6 months.
The time line is 1943-1945 Italy to include Sicily. Any and all vehicles/planes/ships/figures are allowed.
Let me know what you all think.
Cheers,
Bruce

Hello All,
I picked a November start time because most of the campaigns have ended by Dec.31st.
Basicly the rules will be simple, any thing that fought in Italy is allowed. That will give the wingey and wet guys a choice to join.
thanks for the interest.
Cheers,
Bruce

Hello All,
I sent Gary a heads up about the campaign. We have 6 interested, I need 2 more and I will submit the campaign. So tell your friends and get them to commit to the campaign.
I also picked a November date some we can all think about sunny Italy during the dark, cold, snowy days/nights.
Cheers,
Bruce

Hello Gary,
Thanks for the head count.
I am sure I can find 2 more builders to commit to the campaign, I am going to post a invite over at Aeroscale, MSW and the figures site.
With the campaign open to just about anything I think i should get a couple.
I will PM you when I get them, If that is OK with you.
Cheers,
Bruce

We have 10 modelers ready for the campaign.
I sent a PM The His Most Royal Lordship Gary Duke of Campaigns to get it approved.
I am hoping that all of the Royal Staffers will join up. I think it will be a great campaign.

I'll probably pick up Dragon's Commonwealth Mediterranean infantry to make a scene of the Canadian Army's advance through Southern Italy. I might throw in some scratchbuilt Roman Ruins to make a small vignette.
Can't wait to start this one!

Hi All,
Just enlisted for the campaign, a November start is perfect, it will give me a project to do once I've finished my group build for SMW 2010, not quite sure what I'll build, keep you posted once I've decided, looking forward to the kick off.. Also my Grandad saw action in Italy so an added incentive (although I only met him once)

Hello All,
Welcome to all of you that have signed up or shown interest in this campaign.
I am sorry about rule #7, But as some of you may know that some builders are passing off either done models at a Earlier date or a model not done by themselves as their own all for a ribbon.
I was encouraged to put this rule in and will be adding it to all of my campaigns from now on.
I am not saying anyone will do this for this campaign or any other, But I think it is a good thing till everything gets straighten out.
Again thanks for joining up,
Cheers,
Bruce

You're right in doing so, Bruce!
Does anyone know if the SdKfz 251 Stuka zu Fuss was used in Italy?
I have to confess that I hardly know anything about this part of WW2...

Hello Ron,
About your "walking Stuka" it was used on all the fronts by 1943. So I would think that some of them would have been used in The Italian Front.
Unless someone has proof that they were not there, I am going to allow it.
Thanks for joining up,
Cheers,
Bruce
