Gary: Great! If there are no objections, I am going to roll with the old Italeri/Testors Chevrolet Quad Gun Tractor and will upload photos as soon as I get the ok
As far as I know, the Quad was not armored. It sure looks like it would be.

I agree Gary, it's appearance suggests that it is at least lightly armored against small arms fire, but I don't know enough about the vehicle to say one way or the other.

Riight guys,
We are underway then. I still haven't finished the WOT 3 I started weeks ago but time to get a move on and concentrate on some wheeled vehicles.
There are a lot of walk abouts available I submitted recently and more to come.
As I can't use the WOT 3 in the campaign my opening gambit will be the Humber 8cwt 4 x 4 GS Truck and a Tamiya Tilly. Hopefully the campaign will get me motivated to get on with some of the builds.

Hi Folks, Just enlisted for this ! Looks like it will be alot of fun

Going to go with a Scammell Pioneer SV/2S from Accruate Amor

This will be my first experience with a resin kit. Looking forward to it. I went with the 1/48th scale version. Always wanted to build some military stuff in this scale as I have modeled trains in 1/48th for years.
The pic came from AA's Website as I have not recieved my kit yet. I just noticed that Alan posted a walkaround of this vehicule
Thank you very much, Alan !!!! Any info on this? Is it accruate for WW II ?
If anyone has more ref on this it would be great if you could post it.
Thanks and good luck to everyone.

Hi all. Below is my first build for the campaign, something i picked up a few years ago. Going to start off with something small as i'm still working on another campaign, i'm sure i'm not the only one!
@Alan: i saw a build review in a model mag a little while ago on the Tamiya Tilly, looks like a very nice kit! Looking forward to seeing yours built.
@Randy: Interesting choice, will be a cool build. I haven't got anything yet from Accurate Amour so looking forward to your build.
Cheers,
Tim

Nice choice, Randy. This is definitely an interesting choice. It will be good to see what you get from this beast.
I will be joining with the Italeri Dodge and maybe a Krupp Protze if time permits. More to follow.....

Jesper, nice looking dodge, looking forward to see how it turns out.
Randy, detail is quite good, few of the pieces will need cleaning up though, there's 45 individual parts in the kit! No decals though, will rummage thru' the spares box. Has wipers on the windshield, might have my first ever go at trying to put some 'glass' in them.
Cheers,
Tim

Thanks for the comments, guys.
The mouldings look alright although the age of the kit really shows. I believe this is an Italeri reboxing of the old ESCI kit from the late 80ties.
I plan on starting tonight. I will keep you updated with progress photos.

Should be some interesting wheels in this one guys.
Kits are washed but nothing started yet, might get to them over the next few days.

Looks like some interesting projects here guys! I was wondering, do motorbikes count as softskins? I was thinking of building the new Bronco Triumph bikes for this campaign.
Cheers!

Hi Guys,
This will be my entry for this campaign

Question here the figures that come with this kit appear to be to small or out of scale. Does anyone have any input on that:-?
Should have some time this weekend to get moving on this.

After some thought, I decided on build a 1/35th Airfix (nee Italeri) DUKW that I have had around for a while.

To which I am adding a Big Ed set which is designed for the Italeri kit

I am planning to back date the model to an early production example used in Sicily, with the truck style windshield and some other differences from the kit

Hi all, some interesting kits being chosen.
Stefan: some motorbikes would be a welcome addition to the campaign!
Craig: in answer to your question "is the humber scout car considered a soft skin?"
i'd have to say no, it's is definitely an armoured vechicle. Plenty of other choices out there though!
Started work on the GAZ-67 today, pictures latter this week.

I have the GreatWall Zundapps that I could build in addition to the Bronco Opel if I have enough time. It would be cool to have some more motorcycles in this campaign

Hi folks,
Here's a photo of the Kubelwagon I'll be building:

I know, I know, it's a bit of an oldie, and everyone probably has either built one or has the kit stashed away somewhere, but hey, I haven't built it yet and a need a break from tank tracks for a while!
@ Sal- Tamiya have thrown in a rather camp looking soldier into this kit. I'm either going to chuck him and leave the vehicle empty or else go on the internet looking for more interesting figures.

Eoin,
I built that kit for the Military Engineering Campaign and used that figure in a position yelling at some poor solider to fix his Kubelwagon

@Jasper nice work on that little kit your moving quickly,
I got some progress done on my kit as well, will post some photos up later

Hello everybody,
here is my entry for this campaign. It is the Gama Goat, which was recently released by Perfect Scale. Overall the kit is great with very crisp details. For example the rear part is just one part:
Besides the parts in light grey resin, the kit contains some PE-Parts and a small sheet of decals.
The building of the gama goat is a lot of fun. Here is the progress of the front section so far. It was built mostly out of the box. I only added some wires for the ligths
I hope you like it.
Regards
Sven
