Here is some progress that I have made. The undercarriage is a lot more detailed than I would have thought

Sprayed it all with primer. No work this week so I should be able to get more work done on this if wife leaves me alone

Hi Guys. Thanks for the comments on my Dodge. This campaign is turning out to be very popular.

Sal and Sven, very good progress. You are moving along nicely.

I have finished the main construction of the Dodge. There are some quite significant sink marks on the front bumper and the tarp. Those were fixed with milliput.

Just while uploading the pictures I realise there are a few sink marks on the cabin part of the tarp that needs filling still. Strange how I could miss those first time around.

I also added some thin brass wire to the front winch. Nothing is supplied ion the kit, so it would look very empty otherwise.

More to follow.

Looks like we have lost our Campaign Leader (hasn't been on since Aug 25). Anyone want to become a campaign leader (you might want to check out the "For Campaign Leaders" thread to see what is involved)?

Aaaaah, it's October and my my my - time to begin something.

I just have no idea what to pull out for the Campaign, but I'll come up with something.

Gary - if you need someone to stand in until the Leader returns, I believe I still remember how to do that...

Lot of cleaning to do, Randy.

Have you started building or did that truck bed come cast in one piece with sides and everything?
That seems like an almost impossible pieces to cast in resin without something being warped and out of shape.

Looking forward to see more.

Started my build today, just cleaning up parts for the moment. If I can manage to gracefully get my files and blades around my relatively large fingers while holding such small parts then I may actually have something to show you tomorrow

I have the Italeri Schwimmwagen in my stash so it'll be my build. I picked up the Eduard detail set and a Jaguar driver. I think I'll also be picking up a set of the wide road wheels as well.

Sal,

Great diorama with the Kubelwagon! I was going to chuck the figure, but you never know! I may even try and come up with a diorama idea for it!

Hello everyone,

I'll be joining with two kits.

First one is Academy's M-151A2 Mutt and its trailer.

My second is Tamiya's Citroen 11CV kit. This one is even easier to build than the M151 Mutt... there was only one sprue in the box!

Hello everybody,

thanks for the kind words. This is my first campaign and I must I admit that it makes a lot of fun to read all the articles concerning soft skinned vehicles.

Nevertheless I continued working on my ugly goat. Actually I spent some time on the interior.

The interior was painted with acrylics from Gunze. For the instruments I used a set from the Archer Dry Transfer range. It was originally designed for the M4 HST/M26 Dragon Wagon.

I hope you like it.

Regards
Sven

Evening

I would put it like this. I have two of these kits as I was keen on doing a couple of bedfords, the portee being a sort of practice and the other was to be a vehicle carrying NZ troops of the 28th Bn during WWII in the desert as I have a photo and was keen to have a go at copying it.

I will be selling the second kit as I found it was similar to putting together individual tracks. (that might be a bit harsh). I might have been spoilt with Tamiya and Dragon kits but I was a little frustrated during some parts of the build.

In saying that, I am glad I have put it together and if there are no other alternatives what can you do.
