Sven, that is a great Stag... love how the resign wheels have the bulge at the bottom done just perfectly.

Sal, the greyhound is sweetly done and it looks like you have quite a diorama in the background of the pics... do you have other pics of the whole scene? cheers, bd.

Well just started last friday on my Dragon 234/4.

A few years ago I did the 234/3 version from Dragon too, what a great model, specially when comparing with the Italeri 234's kits.
I spend almost all weekend at the bench, between a M46 and the 234/4.
What a great kit, I did the lower hull, suspension and wheels.
Just a small mix up, at step 5 the C11 and C12 parts are wrong, just swap them, a minor mistake, it's C12 instead of C11 and vice-versa.

Step 3, is a little too confuse, clearly them guys that design the instructions never built a kit in their lives...

Also it's better to jump from step 4 to step 10 & 11, and finishing all the exterior parts of the lower hull.
The jump back to step 5 and start working on the interior of the lower hull, transmission, brakes, chairs, ammo storage etc... study carefully because the designer guy is the same..

Right now I'm at step 15, working on the driver hatches and the rest of the top hull interior details.

Next week I'll have some photos I hope.

Rafal, That is really cool. Did you scratch build much of the kit?

Sal, Looks great so far. Make sure to post pictures after weathering, etc. Like the building.

Hi Guys, Thanks for the positive comments. I think I'm finished with this 1. Posed on the uncompleted MiniArt Church with some Infantry that was from my Sherman build last summer
Photobucket
Photobucket
I tried to heat and strech some old spruces for the antennas but it wasnt going my way so i used some brass wire
Photobucket
I think I'll finish up this base and attach it to the other half of the base and add my GMC 6X6 from the no-fighting vehicle campaign
Photobucket
I think I'm gonna order some Tamiya XF-62 for my next American build, so much for the cheap badger pre-mixed paint
Please let me know what you all think your comments and suggestions are what help me to improve. Thanks for looking

Hi guys and gals.

I almost forgot to post some in-progress shots ...

The model is the Historic Models 1/35 Sd.Kfz 222 Radio Car used pre and early WW2 as a command vehicle.

I have already painted it and its wheels (my least favourite part of the build) and I should have it finished within the next few days.

Oh dear.. a typo.. it is a 232, not a 222.. I didn't think it looked right but I was too lazy to go to the other room and check.. Bad backs make you a bit lazy..

SAL;
You might want to straighten your antenna's a little bit. They dont even look usable. . I dont think real ones can even bend like that.

Hello everybody,

some very interesting progress here. Thanks for the kind words Bruce.

Rafal, the interior of your Humber is great. I really like it.

In the meanwhile I continued working on my projects. This is my Stag right after I finished the building process. I added some stowage from Legend and Blast. The figures are from the Ultracast range and a really gem.

The base was already in use for another project and is now recycled:

Due to the fact, that I had to paint a crew for a Pershing I started the painting process with the figures. Here is a combined progress shot of the current status. I'm quite satisfied so far:

Cheers ;-)

Hi everyone.

Here is my entry for this campaign, Historic Models 1/35 Sd.Kfz 232 6rad armored cars from the early days of WW2.

Thanks for the enjoyable campaign, but I would not recommend this kit to anyone unless you like short-run kits and all the problems they pose. Flash removal, casting mark removal, sanding, filling and more fitting.. As they say, for experienced modellers only.

Wonder what the Italeri one is like .. Common Mr Dragon, Trumpeter or Tamiya.. we need a modern 232..

OK, here's mine so far, a LAV III TUA.

I've done a few Trumpeter Strykers but there is a lot more detail bits on this. Went together very well except for some of the fragile handles which I replaced with bent wire (believe it or not a first for me!). I left off a few really small PE bits, but I don't think anyone will really notice.
The vison blocks are painted gloss black and clear blue over it then masked with clear sellotape. and alos painted the winch area and matt black under all PE grills. Ready for full painting now....then the detail stuff. Strictly OOB.

Rafal,

Awesome looking. Given all the detail on the interior, how are people going to see it?
