Oh yeah! The End by the Doors; Fortunate Son, Run Through the Jungle, Bad Moon Rising by CCR; Eve of Destruction by Barry McGuire & a whole load more!
Really kickin'!!
Joe.

I remember the very first time I ever heard the Doors. It was inside the SF team house atop the Alamo. The music was being played via reel to reel, and the song was "The End!" We replayed it three or four times, and then head out to listening posts. Another tune often forgotten is "I heard It Thru The Grapvine" and "Suzy Que" (remember the M48 tank?)

Just out of curiosity, but was the foldaway seating running down each side of the cargo bed ever taken out of the M35's & not used at all?

Joe,
Speaking from my time in the service 1977-1999, we just folded them up. That helped with keeping cargo from falling out. Plus they were a pain in the a' to take out and put back in. Looking good still. Waiting to see pictures of it painted. Have you ever heard from AFV? Keep up the great work. Looking foward to your updates.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for letting me know about the bench seats. Painting pictures should be coming soon. And no, I didn't hear from AFV Club.
Talk soon.
Joe.

Hi Joe,

Great truck you’ve got there! I’m very curious how all these boxes will look like once they’re on the pallets. Very nice figures too!

Keep the progress posted please!

Best regards
Mark

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your comments. I've been arranging & re-arranging the boxes on the pallets I have & it would appear that the best & most obvious way they'll stack is when they are 8 boxes per layer. So it looks like I'll be coming back to you for some more boxes!
Unfortunately, I've been held up in the painting department because I've had a few set-backs with my new work bench. So, my airbrushes are still not set up to go. However, I have been very busy though....
All will be revealed soon. Watch this space....
Joe.

Hi Joe

Great work on the project - you really are a sucker for punishment! I do one box and feel exhausted.

Cheers
Nick

Hi Nick,
Really nice to hear from you again, mate.
Yeah I know I'm a sucker for punishment & I realise that this project seems to have quietened down lately. But I can assure everyone that I've been working on other aspects of the original idea every night since I first started this thread.
In fact, I'm going to take some photos of what I've been getting up to so I'll keep everybody who is interested abreast with what is going on.
Talk soon mate.

Hi fellas,
As promised, some photos of what's been keeping me busy for a while:

M35A1 #2

Some photos of the crew:

Photos of the M105 trailer:

Truck & trailer:

The model is nowhere near finished yet. All sub-assemblies are completed but I'm just waiting for a copy of the horizontal exhaust pipe so I can complete the building of the cab.
The load on the vehicle at this point is not complete & more work on it is needed.
More pictures on the way.
I hope you like so far.
Joe.

Joe,
The trucks, trailers and figures are looking good. When are you going to put some paint on them? Keep up the great work.

I thought I would finally post these photos of the finished M35A1.
I finished this model way back in 2012 but have only now got round to posting up the photos.
Sorry about the lost photos in this thread but they have vanished into the electronic ether & there's no way of getting them back, I'm afraid.
Anyway, without further ado, here are the photos of the finished piece:

Hope you like it!
Any questions, comments or criticisms are welcome.

Joe.
