Made a bit of progress yesterday and today. The vehicles are on the dio and the terrain has been added. Might try and add some snow later or tomorrow.

Cheers
Robbo

Anyone Know how to adjust the pic size please?

Remearmr, you really need to make your pictures bigger so we can see your builds

Robbo,
I think you are picking the URL for the thumbnail version of the image instead of the actual image. I played around with the URLs in your posts and managed to make them bigger.

Gary,
Many thanks for fixing that. Yes I understand my error now, I was clicking on the thumbnails properties and not the full picture
It seems so simple now.

Managed to get some snow on the dio and added a driver for the kettenkrad, he is not finished yet but he wanted to make an appearance.

@REMEARMR: The snow in Your dio is very convincing. One could almous feel how the Kettenkrad is strugling against the snow.

Marder has the first white base applied. So far so good.

@ Paul: thank you very much, the snow is basically bicarbonate soda powder (foster clark’s brand) mixed with water and PVA glue.
@ Scott: Nice work on the leopard can’t imagine working with all that PE!!!
@ Naseby: I love that set!! Great work on the camouflage, may I ask which kit exactly did you get the figure from?
@ Remearmr: Nice diorama, really like the kettenkrad and the driver!!

Hay gang, seems strange to be working on a winter campaign in summer .

Anyway I have had some time to work on my build and I I'm nearly there with the Leopard.

I started the "treatment" of the winter camo. I know the hair spray method, but i went for something different, because I wanted to make more layers of grey and white.

@ Paul: Is Your Scout Car going to be the new Hobby Boss kit, or the good old Peerles MAX /Testors / Italeri / Zvezda one ?

I made some more fine tuning of the camouflage and also started to paint the soldiers. As You can see, the first face didnt turn out very well and I decided to strip it of paint and start again from scratch.

Scott,

A dio in that size would look great, a little mad perhaps, but great none the less.

Ok, this one is 99% finished. I will add only the crew on a later date if at all. In the end I decided not to make the "35" as is in the box, because everyone dos it. I found another photo in the old Waffenarsenal book which depicts the "white 13". For this I cut up the AFV Club Tiger Is "white 311" decals. This has been a trouble free build, and now when it is finished I realised an interesting thing. To be a crewman on this tankdestroyer, particularly in winter mush have been a horrible job. Imagine you have a vehicle with high silhouette, only a very limited protection of armour plates, which are effective only agains small arms anyway, yoz are surrounded with ammunition and you are SUPPOSED to look for a hunt down the heaviest of enemy tanks, in winter!
