Me too!
The only thing in this category that I already have on the shelf is a 1/72 Matchbox M7 Priest, but I would want to build in 1/35 scale either an M12, M40, or an M109A6 Paladin together with an accompanying M992 ammunition carrier. Anyway, plenty of time to decide which-- almost a year before this starts. (Time to finish other builds and clear the workbench too.)

Thanks, Bob. Some quick research later, if I went with an M12 or M40, I'd still want to pair it with an M30 ammo carrier. I saw one modeler posted photos of a converted Academy M12, and I saw another short thread here on July 9, 2005 looking for M30 info, but it died there.

All signed up, and the MLRS is just begging me to buy and build it.
My modelling time has been severely curtailed by a motorcycle accident. I'll do my best to complete the campaigns I have signed up for, but I think a few of them won't be done in time.

@ Jason: you have plenty of time to decide and aquire the kit of your choice/build.
@ Axel: so you hear voices also

at times I swear that my stash sings to me also.

at the moment in my stash I have an Italeri M109 A6 Paladin that I plan on building for the campaign, but who knows. Like Axel, when I enter the LHS or an online site what will I hear

I threw this ribbon together, crossed cannons from Field Arty guidon, plus scarlet and gold stripes: the colors of Field Artillery.

Here's a variation. The crossed cannons of the Artillery guidon remain in the center; but the gold stripes have been replaced with blue to simulate red stripes on blue military trouser legs: thus, 'Red legs', the nickname of artillerymen.

Axel, I do not know which ribbon that I like the best. They are both great, let some of the others chime in and vote.

Axel, great job on both of them. If I had to choose, my favorite would be the second one, with the blue in it...really makes everything stand out.
I'm enlisted. Still leaning towards that CyberHobby sIG33. My only problem, is that there's plenty of time for me to change my mind

.
Cheers,
Mike

Cheers!

Nice choice, Jason. I just finished the same kit but I had little problems fitting the armored shield onto the Pak itself. So check it couple times before glueing.
Otherwise the kit was a good value for it´s price.

I do indeed, and the M270 MLRS is singing the Hallelujah Chorus from Beethoven's 9th

I'm not sure it's appropriate to 'vote' on my own work, but after some thought, I think I prefer the ribbon with the blue stripe. I quite like the tie in to the 'red leg' nickname...and, like Mike said, it probably does look better. Any old Arty guys participating? Wonder what they think?

As of two minutes ago there are (14) of us so far. And for hearing voices I try not let anyone else know that I am right most of the time, especially when I get into an argument with myself.

Thanks for heads up mate, I'm still a bit undecided really, I do have a Dragon PaK 40 w/Heer Gun Crew in the stash, but then I've got an old Tamiya 88, so much to choose from....... Atleast there's a while to make that decision

Sal,
The Wespe is a great kit, built a couple myself down the years, I'd highly recommend it, goes together really easy, typical Tamiya kit really.

Hi
Just added my name to the list, like this idea.
just need to decide wether to do something WW2- Nam or something from my other hobby's time period.
I reenact the American Civil War &

funny as it is I do Artillery in that.
We use a range of Cannon ( 3/4 scale mostly in the UK ) Napoleons , Parrots & My Favorite a Mountain Howitzer.
I'll probably do something from the Civil War as I've some verlinden kits & a nice metal kit with gun crew.
Building for My pleasure & hoping others like what I build.
Being built at the moment
Way too many unfinished.

Hello, Shaun and welcome to the year away campaign. I personally would like to see either or both a Nepleon and the mountaing howitzer, I am not familiar with the latter piece.
