@ Mike, Welcome aboard glad to have ya

Sal: you were right! I do need to get a different tank. I received the kit yesterday and it has the suspension arms molded with the hull, so I would not be able to show the sag correctly, so I'll be getting new Pz III F from Dragon. Budget be damned! -zon
@ Zon, I know the budget is tight but look at the bright side
now you have a Command vehicle to build for Matt's Command Vehicle Campaign, I think he only needs like 1 more to get it official
@ Keith, forgive my ignorance but when you said Drasine I didn't know what that was so a Google search showed this
I thought that would be pretty cool with some soldiers riding on it
Any of you scratch builders what to give that 1 a try

Sal: Thanks for the heads up on the Command Vehicles campaign. I'll sign up. Nothing better than building a Pz III, except for building two!!
The Drasine image is awesome!!! Put a machine gun on that thing and it's good to go!

I always wondered what was inside those armoured rail cars. Thanks for answering that one.

O.K. Now, how many do we have signed up for this campain? Any one know what camp. had the most signed up for and the most completed Maybe we can beat it? I know I'll pull out all the stops to finish this beast up in time. Besides, I'm tired of looking at it and redoing this and that for the past 14 years. This was what I needed to get the gumption to finish.

There are 22 currently signed up for this campaign.
I've only been keeping stats since the Matchbox Nostalgia campaign (I keep telling myself I'll go back and do more from the past, but ...). The currently active Sherman campaign has the most enlisted (155) with the Tiger Tank campaign in second place (105).
The highest completion percentage was Matchbox Nostalgia with 26 out of 42 receiving ribbons for 61.9%.

Those stats are impressive. !55 shermanholics, very impressive as I thought German armor would have lead the way. Lets hope everyone (includung me) can finish this one.

Gary thanks for the Stats. I didn't think we would get as many enlistment as the Sherman Campaign got but I was hoping for a high completion rate. That's why I went with a years time
I know that there has been some discussion about limiting the amount of campaigns but guys need to show some self-discipline
I myself have completed 27 campaigns since March 2010 but I was out of work and I dont sleep

Rock on Sal!
I'm still finding out what my limits are, and I think I'll be able to pull off most of the campaigns I've entered into. I just need to resist the urge to superdetail my builds too much and just go with good kits

milvehfan, this seams like a good question for Tom (Tmoon) being that he seams like he is building a whole train including a Dora
Unfortunately I don't know the answer but hopefully someone else will

That question has been asked earlier on another thread and what I can recall, Trumpeter and DML kits don´t have the same trackwidth. It was either Trumpeter or DML kits, where you had to place wheels on their most outer position.

Hello, every body I just enlisted an probably doing a BR-52 locomotive with pe update that I think I saw.I needed something to put on my fireplace mantel so why not a train with all sorts of stuff it was pulling from a railway gun to a transport for some sort of weight for transport. For vehicle transport of staff car to a opel work shop truck on the flatbed while still on the flatbed working on the locomotive an if I have time a rail gun. There are a lot of machine shop stuff now then years past I think it would look cool to put on the truck.
I have always been inspired from the railway gun I think verliden did in one of his books.
Before I buy this locomotive can I just paint it some sort of grey.an it would still be accurate.

This BR-52 was painted with a mix of Tamiya colours German grey, desert yellow and neutral grey, neutral grey being the main colour in the mix.
BR-52 Sorry, it´s in finnish but you can see colours from the photos.

William, Welcome aboard glad to have ya, that sounds like a pretty ambitious project you have there. Just a reminder that the vehicles you put on the flat cars can be already built
Kimmo, great job with that loco thanks for sharing

Thank you for welcomeing me to the campaign. An hopefully I can finish the kit.i know I can probably do the kit but maybe not the extras I want to do but the main thing I want to do is at least the br52 locomotive on some tracks. An I have a little over a year so I will do my best.I might have to subscribe so I can upload my pictures an updates an not have to worry about messing up my picture links. Also good luck to all that have enlisted. An I can't wait for all the critics that help with the accurace of the kit, the nuts an bolt counters is what i am hopeing to help me super-detail this br52 locomotive.I might even bring this to a contest if I get good reviews from you wonderful people on this site.

Sal, give me another week or so and I'll get that ribbon for ya. I lost last week to heat exhaustion and heat stroke, and have been working without sleep this last weekend trying to get things caught up at work. I still need to get Photoshop installed on my new computer, and then I'll be up and running again. I already know what I want to do, so I should have it to you soon after.
