Hi all! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Wow some nice builds you guys are working on.
Congrats Nathan on finishing yours it looks great!
As far as my own build goes I've been sick for the past week so very little has been done. Here is what I managed track hangers and fenders.

I am feeling better now, and just in time to because plans changed and we're spending a few days with family so I wouldnt be able to get back to building until the weekend.
Working with PE has been a little different than I thought it would be somehow. But I think I'm slowly getting more used to it.
I hope everyone is enjoying what ever holiday you celebrate!

I was pretty gung ho for this one and got off to a good start way back there in the tiny numbered pages, but have lost my mojo, got busy, and all the other usual excuses..
Oh well, i'll have something (else) for the next Getter-done campaign..
Good job to all the completers
Mike

This was a great campaign and i really enjoyed the build. everybody did some great work! Look forward to getting started on the King Tiger campaign. I hope everybody had a great christmas and some fun builds in the new year. Next year I'm planning to do a posted build of two Panther II models using the drawings in Panzer Tracts. One with the prototype 75mm turret never completed and the other with a 88mm Schmalturn.

Hi Darren,
It's all gone pear-shaped for me! Or should I say "straight"...? My hand-crafted track hangers around the turret decided to uncurl - possibly a reaction to the solvent in the primer. I sprayed GW Chaos Black as a primer, followed by Tamiya brown, then a "red oxide" mix before shooting light grey thinly so some red would show through. Worked a treat on the hull, but when I came to the red oxide on the turret I noticed the uncurled hangers! (I did leave it sitting for over a month...) I've boiled up a new set using a jig to hopefully get them uniform, but assuming I fit 'em today I'm still about a week away from completion! Can I ask a favour?...

Tom
PS: I know, I shouldn't have let it sit til the last minute!

Chris that looks a very nice build and I like the way the tracks hang.
Antonio very nice work as it can be very hard to get a good finish on a single colour model.

Tom what about using a warm drill bit on the ones attached to provide uniformity.

Hadn't thought of that! A bit too late, as I've already done the surgery... Still, if these ones uncurl, I'll be heating a drill.
Paint & pics hopefully tomorrow!

My first airbrushed camouflage!
A couple of mistakes on the other side, too much overspray but not too bad.
Cheers Rob.
