Hi folks,
This is the basic engine and transmission, without the rear firewall but with some paint added.
Cheers

Hi folks,
Started to add some wiring and some additional detail to the engine.
Added the starter motor, a small electrical box, some piping that seems to missing. As there is a lot of emppty space on the rear floor I added the Convoy light point and the Turret Traverse Generator filter unit.
More wiring to do but it should look fairly busy when done.
Cheers

Awesome work on this engine block. the wiring and plumbing really finishes it off. I can't tell from the pictures but have you done any weathering to the block like fuelspill, engine grime and such or are you still planning that.
Looking forward to your work on the interior.

Hi Robert,
Many thanks. So far I've built this one with a 'tank on the production line' in mind, so things are quite 'clean' at the moment, which is hard to do
I have some more wiring to do in the rear area, convoy light and tail light and I'm waiting on the missing firewall, although Ive made an alternative.
I have a question if anyone can help. Would there have been a support bar under the two rear engine panels? My plan is to leave the rear panel off completely but something tells me there would have been one or two support sections there but I haven't got a picture to confirm this.
Cheers

Hi folks,
Well here we are with the engine finally fitted, I added some additional piping and fittings and in the end used my converted back plate as time was passing and I needed to get the engine fittted to move on.

Hi folks,
Having got the engine in place time to move onto the internal trucking. this consists of 8 PE sections, each section folded into a channel and then two channels joined to form an I beam type of affaire. The PE is very good to work with, and that's coming form some one who doesn't really like PE. It is easy to bend but strong enough to hold it's shape.
As a side line to this build I'm replicating some parts for use in future builds. I did this with the airborne jeeps and it's a cost effective way of making some half decent parts.
Ths only thing to watch out for here is that the silly glue doesn't bond the parts fast before you have time ot align them!
Cheers

Hi folks,
Silly glue working to schedule, bonded the PE pretty fast and left a small ridge before I could get the parts smoothly aligned. Always good to have a plan B so I used some 3.2mm H beam instead,
Parts won't be wasted though as they will make a good template for future builds.
Hopefully I have the cross beam in the correct place and everythig else should work fine!

Hi folks,
A bit more work on the tank.
Added the missing supports for the top hull.
A bit morer wiring into the electrical area
Air intakes
Some texture to the hull
