Looking good. I would just insert the weapon a bit more into the hand for getting the optimal grip. I finished building the same figure and will be posting the review very soon. With 47 pieces, it could be considered complex for a single figure, but the fit is amazing and I had no problems with building the figure.

Mario

EDIT: I think this image was the inspiration for this particular figure:

As far as I can tell, this guy wears ACU.

Thanks for that reference Mario. You are spot-on about the weapon- its not glued in yet- its just in his hand loosely so I can take it out for painting.

@Karl187

The ELCAN SpecterDR on the weapon of your figure is mounted wrong. You must turn it 180 degrees.

I thought I might get something on the gun wrong!! I'll have to see if I can get it off without it breaking. Thanks for the heads up Andreas !

Thank you Yaroslav,

I'm interested in the color of all the webbing, pouches, weapons in particular.

I think some good pictures of a completed figure or a real life soldier would be great.

There are tons of reference pics all over the internet.

As for a completed and painted figure... I would love to see the painted boxart image as well, but it seems Yaroslav is using CAD images for his boxes. Besides, who would want to paint all those figures in all those pixels, even if it is for boxart...

That's great Henk.

The webbing and accessories are another question I guess

Cheers

Yaroslav- thanks for that finescale link- thats one method I've never seen before.

Henk- I've been looking for that guide for the past day or two, I thought I had it somewhere but couldn't find it! Thanks for posting it.

I also managed to get the ECLAN SpecterDR off the rail and fitted the correct way! Now I just have to work up the courage to start painting !

Nice work Carl, I still have to assemble my figures. The ACU scheme will be a challenge, I've some multiple-cam decals that work reasonably well, so might give that a go.

Not sure what part of the north your from, but the Modellers Nook have a bit of a 'show' on the 20th Jan in Belfast.

Thanks Chris- I have Alliance Modelworks ACU camo decals- I've put decals on a figure before but never one with so much detail- I'll have to have a bit of an experiment and see how it goes! (I live near Newry, by the way .)

I would suggest you not to use the AM Decals. Here on Armorama was a test of it, and the decals are to "hard". I've got only the AM Uniform Patches Decals. And even these small decals are not easy to use on the figures.

I use Crossdelta Decals for figures in combination with Micro Sol Decal Softener, and here are some results:

It's like a second skin.

Andreas- I've used the AM works decals before and found them difficult- they ended up flaking off the figure despite repeated applications of softening and setting solution. I thought I'd give them another go but the same thing happend again- they seemed to settle down but once they dried they went all hard again and flaked off at the slightest touch. Those Crossdelta decals look really good, I'll have to look into getting some- thanks for the info.

For anyone interested in trying ACU with paint here's how I tried it previously: http://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/175389&page=1

Yaroslav,

The new figures are great! I am addicted to the new standard of quality you have started. With this is mind, I would like to suggest the SEALs from the UBL raid as your next figure release.

There is starting to be good info about the SEAL gear out on the web, including:

- Ops-Core FAST helmet http://www.opscore.com/FAST_Ballistic_Helmet_P7C6.cfm

- the 4 tube GPNVG18 (Ground Panoramic Night Vision Goggle) from L3, good images here= http://www.onesixthwarriors.com/forum/sixth-scale-action-figure-news-reviews-discussion/636683-gpnvg18-2.html

Not sure about the plate carrier, but they all look similar.

I think you have the guns already, but maybe you could do an M79 and an HK MP7

Also, some bearded figure head with your Peltor headsets would be great.

I think you would sell these figures/items like crazy. Anybody agree with me?

as always, thank you! Happy holiday!

BK

Great idea.

Some corrections though:

Ops-Core FAST Maritime (slightly higher cut, different ARC rail): http://i.ytimg.com/vi/vBAMPp7mlqM/0.jpg

Crye precision jumpable plate carrier (JPC) or CAGE look about right.

Regards,

Greg

Yaroslav,

Any chance of a M3 84mm Carl Gustaf (Ranger Assault Weapons System -RAWS - or Multi-role Anti-tank Anti-Armour Weapon System - MAAWS - in US service)?

Your AN/PAS-13 is already compatible with it and it'd round out your heavy & support weapons sets. I've got some good references if you'd like.

Still dreaming of a Javelin....

Good catch regarding the helmet Greg. Also, thanks for the info on the plate carriers. I was also thinking the barrels on Yaroslav's current set of HK 416s may be longer than the 10 inch barrel HK's referenced in at least one SEAL's account.

Yaroslav, Happy New Year! Great work on the CAD!

1/16. 1/6, and 1/3rd? What are your plans ?

Do you intend to make a 1/16 figure, 1/6 figure, and 1/3rd scale weapon? Any chances of seeing Science Fiction or non-military kits in 2013?

The level of detail on those items is just awesome, I can't wait to see what the full 1/16 scale figures look like.

I thought I'd just post a couple of pictures of my Live Resin 1/35 figure with some paint on it:

There's no denying that ACU is a tough camo to do- it took me a while just to choose the color mixes! Still, it was my first full figure in ACU and it was good doing it, a good learning experience. The figure is still pretty far from finished as I want to impart a well used look.

Thats enough thread hogging from me !
