[quote]Hey Guys,
Don’t worry about hijacking my thread, this is all important stuff we’re discussing
John:
I don't want to be a Hijacker either,,but (my 2 cents). I don't use acrylic for base coats, only weathering & shading
because my enamel base won't get damaged and I can adjust and move the acrylic top layer around a lot easier without gumming
up the surface for pastels and pigments, which I also use for dirt and weathering. As for primer....I don't, as a whole coverage, I only use a darker shade in shadow areas, and go straight to base color for the rest, with of coarse, lighter shades in center areas for fading. I like the old tried & true
bite that enamels give to plastic. Never had good results w/
any Acrylic ie, pollyS,tamiya,or Testors. Stick w/ what you
know. ENOUGH RANT.
THE JUMBO LOOKS MARVELOUS!!!!!! Love you tuuret casting and weld affects. Still watching and waiting for the finish.Keep
Up the great progression!!!!!!

I’m calling it done! Time to move on to something else. I will eventually put it on a base once I make up my mind on how I want to approach it.

John, that's one sweet looking Jumbo! Really like the weathering. Getting OD to look interesting is one of th hardest jobs I think.
I especially like the way the tools look, how did you get that done? My metal parts always look too clean/new.
Cheers!

John,
First rate job on this one all the way. I really love the weathering work you did. It doesn't overwhelm the tank. Fantastic. the OD colours are splendid too.
Congrats!
