Ok, ok ... I guess it's working now...

And the finished beast ...

I might add to the thousand word pictures, it was a great build, the Dragon's Panther F is an amazing kit, full of extras, PE, different options, paint schemes, detailing..
If you like Panthers and great kits get on of these !

Tom, just a great camo paint scheme. Would be hard in 1/35, yet you pulled it off in 1/72 scale.

Here's mine. It's Dragon's 5cm Pak 38 w/Fallschirmjager crew. It was a late entry and the pictures were taken over about a two week period.

Not a difficult kit. I think it's basically the only show in town if you want a 5cm Pak. A shame given how much they were used. It was a pretty straightforward build. The only real deviation I took was in leaving the wheels off until a little later in the build. Of note, my kit's gunshield pieces were warped and took some work to get put together right. And I was not a real big fan of the kit supplied crew.

Carriage.

Main Gun Assembly.

Coming together.

Basically done.

Now onto the crew. The crew is a mixed bag of figures from another Dragon anti-tank gun. One of which seems like the odd man. They also lack enough equipment for a reasonable kit for each. I ended up leaving the kit off of them all. I also left out the "odd man out" crew figure I mentioned above. The supplied gunne rdidn't fit his position so I had him and the supplied commander switch positions.

Now for the base. I kept it simple to try to remain within the parameters of the campaign. The base is construced of sheet styrofoam. The groundwork is Celluclay. The mound is based atop styrofoam scraps covered with Celluclay. A coat of white paint. A few washes to try to bring out the depth and try to depth.

I thought it was a little too plain so I went back and added some tree stumps. These were made from pieces of branches.

I'm calling this one done. It wasn't a bad little build. I'll probably take the pak38 and use it with another project. I didn't like the crew but I might rework them at some point to work with another kit.

John - You showed those magic tracks who's the boss! If the paint on my Panther F comes out half as nice as yours I'll be happy.

Tom - Amazing paint job on that Hummel, especially considering the scale!

Rob - The Nashorn looks great, I like the understated weathering.

Alex - A kit w figures and a base in two weeks! I wish I was that fast.

Sal - I'll make the deadline, I just finished my washes on my Ferd. Some dry brushing, a clear coat and maybe a filter if there is time and I will be done.

I'm liking that Nashorn, Rob.
I'm also digging Alex's PAK 38 vignette.

Thanks Guy,

Everything when together perfect except the tracks. Its a pain to fit them with out the satisfaction of a good looking set of tracks.

Outstanding campaign and great work by each and every one of you (AS ALWAYS!!!) Enjoyed conversing with everybody and seeing some great Dragon productions roll off the assembly line. Unfortunately my math did not work out for this campaign because I completed one T-34 for it but bought two more in the process. Never-ending cycle!!!!!!!!!!

Best wishes, Ian
