Here's my update.
Washed and highlighted, then sprayed with a diluted AK dust effects. I might do some more, maybe pigments.
I also need to get this outside to photograph. This is the only photo from this set of 8 that is usable.

Thanks for the comment on the Gepard, John. Definitely a don't buy kit. But now I have it, so I am going to finish it.
Here is where the build currently stands. It is going to be muddied up quite a bit. More to follow soon.

Marc---I like your half-track. Good weathering over the grey.
Jesper---Sweet looking Gepard. Glad to see it will have a healthy application of Bavarian slop on the suspension.
Well my Leopard has it's spots now. The NATO Tri-color is complete. I am going to apply alot of camo netting to the vehicle which will be made out painted gauze and then overlayed with some oregano or something along those lines from the spice rack, which in turn will be secured with white glue diluted with water. Also going to use some Woodland Scenics Foliage as well. Judging by the pictures I have seen, looks like the Bundeswehr really likes to camo up these armored beasts in the field.
Best wishes, Ian

Have tiger 100 ready for the dull coat.

Install the tracks, add some pastels and the crew and I think it should be ready before the New Year

well, appears that several builders are appoaching the finish line, and excellent work by all! The part of the campaign that stands out is our desire to complete a "poor" kit..something that isn't up to our currect detailed kits standards!
I found a kit recently that looks similar to the Gepard, but thought it was for the Japanese Defense Force? Any ideas?
I'm going to have fun passing out ribbons on this campaign!

Hi folks,
Nice work.
Here's my RN LCP R and a re-vamp of the armoured USN LCP R I did from the new information.

Hi Folks,
I know this is over the end of the month but is it too late to join this campaign?
The Sherman Firefly was being built for a campaign last year that ..well... I never completed.

The Firefly now has a coat of Black primer on it.
I think I can complete it over the holidays.

John-----Beautiful presentation on your T-70. Figures are very well done also.
Alan----Great looking LCP and what a great subject to model!
I got my Leopard 2A6 glossed and applied the decals this morning. Decals depict a "Cat" from 64th Pz. Battalion, Bundeswehr. Hopefully I will have it Dull-Coated this weekend and I will begin work on the weathering and a liberal aplication of camo netting and foliage.
Regards, Ian

Jesper------Great looking Gepard. I like how you did the mud on the suspension with the look of wet and dry mud....very cool!!!
Continuing on the Bundeswehr theme, I applied the camo netting to my Leopard 2A6. I used gauze that was painted with Tamiya Green. I then applied the netting on the model and dampened it with diluted Elmers Glue. After that I added good ole' Oregano and Tarragon from the spice rack which was secured with more diluted white glue. Once that dries I will airbrush the leaves with Olive Drab to make it uniform.

Best wishes, Ian

The Gepard looks great.
As for me, i am calling this 251 finished. The more i touch it, the more pieces i break off of it.
So, again, here are some details.
Tamiya Hanomag 251 personnel carrier. Some Eduard photoetch with scratched rear seats. Finished in Tamiya dark gray, with lighter variations of the basecoat spayed. Highlighted with oils and sprayed with a diluted coat of AK Interactive dust effects.
Some more photos.

Showing some of the etch and scratched rear seats

Thanks for the good campaign. If it wasn't for the campaign, this kit would have said unfinished for ever.

Thanks for the comments on my Gepard, appreciate it.
Nice 251, Marc. The finish is very nice and dusty. Very nice job on this old beast.
Beautiful finish on the 250, Mark. You really made the details stand our and did some very realistic weathering.

Hello,
Nice finishes guys -- I too like the way the Gepard turned out. My progress from the last couple of days:
I did some repainting on the wheels, exhaust, etc.

Decals on, and then to weathering:

Still a bit more to go, but am sure I'll finish this before the deadline.
Cheers,
Tat

Thanks for the comment on the Gepard, Tat.
Very nice camouflage and weathering on the Hetzer. Is the weathering still wet in the pictures or will you got for a wet glossy look?

Ok, haven't posted an update in a while as I've been busy buildin'! The pics that follow are NOT the most up to date but are close.
Tried to put on some homemade decals last night only to conceed an epic fail. Waiting for the decal film sealer to arrive. . .
Everything has been painted and most of the detail work done too. Clear gloss is on and tonight I plan on slappin' on some oils and washes. Once the decal sealer arrives I will spray on my homemade decals and try again. I am hopeful that these will work better. Wish me luck.
