Thanks guys, yes Dani I agree the weathering is a bit heavy but,While I was looking at pictures of The Battle of Cassino I found these
As you can see ,it was pretty muddy at times,so that's what I went for.I just couldn't figure out how to really show that on the base.
So we can do this,Let's say the Humber just wallowed through a GIANT mud hole and stopped before the crater to "shake itself off" so to speak. Model on,Jeff T.

Hello friends. I want to ask if we can change and/or add more figures to our work? Reaon why i am asking about changing the figures because the two German soldiers that go with the Pz II are wearing DAK uniforms and I want to finish my model in the Eastern Front. I as about adding more just so the dio would look a bit more lively

I don't think that would be a problem, looking forward to seeing it.

Dani, beautiful Priest. it looks great.

Jeff, nice weathering. A lot of mud, but that was the fact in a large part of the Italian areas flooded by the Germans especially around Cassino.

I thought I had posted picture of my entry, but now I cannot find the picture. My entry is the Matchbox Sd.Kfz. 232.
Work has already started and as most Matchbox builds this will be a quick one.

Nice progress, Naseby. I build this kit a couple of years ago and it is great. The diorama is great looking when finished. Looking forward to see more.

Thanks for the comment, Kevin. More progress soon.

@Jesper, I agree that the kit is nice but its not without its problems. I spend a lot of time fitting the forward body of the Chevrolet and also its suspention. There is also an issue with the tracks on the diorama - they are to faar away from from each other.

Have made a lot of progress Yesterday and today. The main painting is done. Only the weathering and a few details remain. In the last picture it si clearly visible that the tracks on the diorama are not matching the wheels of the vehicles. To correct this would be a major fix which would violate the rules of the campaign. Im not sure what to do about it so I will not start the diorama at this moment.

I've really been enjoying following this campaign -Kudos to Kevin for starting it. Incredibly nostalgic to see the fantastic work people are doing on these kits that I first built more than thirty years ago

So I signed up to this the other day and picked up the revell reboxing of the jagdpanzer lang.

1/76 Jagdepanzer Lang

I used to love these kits- up to the time these came out we just had the airfix kits here and these in their two colours and with a dio base included were a breath of fresh air. Then we started getting hazegawa and esci kits and that really blew our minds

It's a simple enough build, I drilled the gun barrel and the exhausts and filled the holes on the hull side for the schurzen which I want to thin before I fit them.

I might also dress up the base a little with a small wall and a telegraph pole

Still promising myself to complete what I started earlier in the thread. Feeling slightly intimidated by Dani's excellent execution of same subject as I chose.

Naseby - the freshly painted Chevy looks really amazingly neat and tidy.

Exer - the Jagdpanzer has to be my fave of all these kits, it really looks the part, and even the tracks are OK in my eyes.

Gentlemen,
I'd like to join you with Sd.Kfz 251 and a Panther tank. I don't have any doubts the first one. But I have a question about the second model. It has no fenders. Is it against the rules if I do them? And what about adding some zimmerit? Or towing rope?
Matchbox Panther is so naked...

Hey, just a quick question before starting.

Doing the M24 Chaffee Revell re-box, but do have others in the range in stash. Can i use another base for it as don't really think a sign for St Lo etc would work for a late war M24?

Any thoughts?

Ryben

As the theme was mostly out of the box, with a little scratch building, it would be preferred if you used the base. Maybe just change the sign. If it is a big issue, let me know.
