Anyone feel the need for a StuG campaign? I do, I have plenty that need attention, errr ... I mean that need to be built!
This could be a wide open Campaign for there are many to choose from. I have many G's and F's but have no earlier ones that are even the most interesting to me. I might even buy a B or D just for this Campaign!!
Also, I'd like to see some interest in this and make it work. The one thing, I would like to see it restricted to NEW builds only, none that have been started please.
So, anyone like this? StuG III's and IV's!!!!

Jeff,
I think it's a great idea but I ran out of StuG's....
If you open it to assault tanks and / or anti-tanks you will have more participants for sure.
Having only Stugs you limit the participants to very narrow choice ( Dragon,Tamyia and Italeri for 1:35).

Hello Jeff,
I think it's a great idea. The StuG is one of my favorite vehicles, I've built 8 up to now and I just opened the box on my 9th. The opportunities for add-on armour, and field mods scratch built from photo information are unbelievable.
I'm a newcomer to armorama so I can't really help, I hope this goes through, I shall now close the box on my F8 and wait and see what happens here.
Paul

Okay, from the Campaign page:
"Traditionally, a campaign needs at least 10 modelers signed on and interested in participating in the activity. Please include the callsigns of those willing to join up."
So far we have ...
1) bwiber
2) 1721Lancers
3) PantherF
... and need only 7 more to submit this!!!! Thanks guys for your interest!
And John, thanks for your suggestion and wisdom too. You're right about opening it up more. But I think at this point just a StuG Campaign would be unique unless we run into participant problems and or interests. TD's would be a whole new pandora's box as well as SP platforms. I just think it would be neat to see only StuG's (III & IV's) all on one thread!
But stay tuned, never say never!

Jeff,
Count me in! I have a StuG in my stash and a campaign would be a great incentive to tackle the kit.

AWESOME John!! A Campaign without you just wouldn't be the same my friend!
Just a note after a PM I received. Members can use any scale, any brand, any StuG ... III or IV version for this Campaign, just as long as it's not started yet.
I don't believe in too many rules, just the one rule that I will enforce is that everyone has fun!!

What's up Phill!
Right now, there are enough 'StuG' variants to make this Campaign pretty elite and unless the masses want to include the Jagdpanzers I would have no problem, but for right now a StuG Campaign has a special ring to it for me and others.
I am working on those questions right now. I know some of you need this information to participate and the details should get back to me shortly.
Please feel free to ask any questions! I will be returning shortly as I have a few important appointments to attend and will be back this afternoon.
Thanks and hopefully we will get this thing off the ground and have some fun building StuGs!!!

Looks like this could have a start date anytime after June. I could suggest a general vote as to what YOU guys would like to see but I think sometime in the Fall with a run time of 6 months would be best. Not my call.
This would give everyone plenty of time to finish up whatever they are working on and get that perfect StuG kit to be ready.
And as far as rules? Unless they are changed I feel just an unstarted kit, any brand or scale and as long as it's a StuG III or IV. Also, you may use any aftermarket accessories you want, or can endure! As long as you can finish it!
How does everyone feel about that?
Let me know about the start date.

Howdy,
Would Dragon's 10.5cm Sturmhaubitze 42 or StuH42 work ? Gary Boggs' build log here on Armorama inspired me to get the kit. A Campaign would get my rear in gear to build it !
