I'll be building the Trumpeter Canadian AVGP Grizzly(Early) for this.
Once I get some more cash I'm going to get:

And do a small diorama of Canadian and British troops training together sometime during the cold war.

Andrew is off to a quick start. We took photos of the sprues so that he can do a review of the kit if he wants to later. First, a sprue shot with the "paper" and date.

I sent him down to the modeling desk and when I went down to check on him, he had jumped in and gone to work.

He will paint the cockpit and is still working on an appropriate scheme. He has done a very good job so far.

Luca, I'll be interested in seeing what you do with that kit, I have the Black Knight Hetzer but haven't built it yet.

Andrew is off to a flying start (no pun intended) and I see he has been sharpening his building skills...looks great so far!

I plan on building the Trumpeter BRDM-2 or BTR-50 as I already have them in the stash, although it may take a while for me to post some pics as I'm entering Scale Model World and have exams so will be very busy . However, I will be buying alot at SMW so might change my mind. It will definitely be Russian though.
Thanks

For some reason that doesn't surprise me in the least, Euan

Got a decent start on the Grizzly this weekend. Got the tires and hubs painted and assembled, and started painting the upper and lower hulls. I'll post pics tomorrow.

Go for an over weathered Russian armoured car. Were you thinking WW2 or modern?
Thanks

How about the Zvezda BA-10. Its pretty cheap and reasonable to build. The Miniart BA-64 is a lovely kit with great detail and fit, however, it is a bit more pricey.

Heres a pic of my Zvezda BA-10. It was my first white wash so it is'nt perfect, but you get the idea.
Hope these suggestions help

Thanks
Euan

I will probably end up buying what ever model is cheaper online after black friday I suppose i will do some showing off, here are my last two completed builds, the half track still has a little work to do. The pictures might not be the best, i just grabbed a shirt to use as a back ground

Nice pix, Brian! It's funny how that simple white rag adds so much life to an otherwise subdued camouflage. Excellent chipping, fading, and washes, but the rag grabs the eye, as it should. I like that a lot.

Outstanding. I've still to try the Hairspray Technique and you're results are certainly promising! How did you achieve the fading and streaking on the bonnet of the Sdkfz, especially above the engine access panels ? Did you use Colour Modulation using an airbrush (I noticed the lighter colours used for the hinges and latches it gives a great effect:) )or was it just gradual build up of tones?
Thanks and happy modelling!

Thanks guys! That is exactly what i was thinking with the rag Sean, and Euan, I actually use the color modulation sets from AK interactive! You should get the green set for your russian vehicles, they airbrush like a dream and at most all they need as far as thinning is a drop or two of water! The hairspray is a great technique as well, i love it, thats actually my first time ive ever used it, almost as an expieriment because i didnt like my camo underneath

Thanks for the reply! I've been considering the AK Modulation sets for a while and am going to Telford Scale Model World today so may purchase a set or two.

Thanks again.
