I have decided to do the old Dragon BRDM-2. I've got 2 of the new Trumpeter kits but I'm saving them for a special project you may see at Telford next year.
Anyway, the Dragon kit is very simple and only took a couple of hours to get it this stage. I bought it at Telford for £5 and it came with PazerShop resin tyres! I plan on finishing it in a tri-coloured splinter camo, but maybe not.
Oh, by the way, I won third at Telford! For my first time there I was pleased, but next year I really want to do better.
Thanks
Euan

I've gotten a fairly decent start on the Grizzly. I apologize for the quality of the pics, as they're off my phone.
Date and unstarted kit:
Box art:
Wheel parts, before cleaning and painting:
I've done quite a bit more work since these were taken, I'll take more photos when my phones done charging. Painting really sucks when you don't have an airbrush

Update:
I have corrected the links to the photos. - Gary Kato

Got my girls set up with their own little tool kits today. Each has a small clear flip top box to put their tools in, .98 cents each at WalMart. @ sets of emory boards and two sets of tweezers and the previously purchased hobbico cutters. Each has a mat and they arr set. Started building this morning the 5yr old has a snap chevy hot rod (all pink) that we picked up last year and the 7yr old has an old Matchbox Me 410 1/72. Both seem to be enjoying themselves and are progressing pretty well. Will do updates when we can. Cheers

We are still unpacking and getting things set up, so Andrew hasn't painted yet, but he did build a second kit. Hope to have things set up by Thanksgiving so he can get some paint on.
Euan, great job on your build, and that's a nice stash to boot.
Curtis, nice job.
Damon, looks like your girls are plenty happy, and busy.
SnowOwl, I can't see your pictures.

Hi everyone.
I will join in with my King tiger once i have all the parts I need.
The base will be tamiya kit and some various aftermarket, since the parts were just ordered i expect to start around new year and until then i will seek for references.
ps.cant seem to find the answer to this, but i'd like to know is it possible to enter one build in multiple campaigns?
i.e. Next gen II and King tiger?
Kind regards.

Curtis! Nice work on those hand-carved cobbles. The overall weathering looks good too.
Thanks for posting!

In the end I decided to enter with the 1/144 F-16C from Revell.
I started with the intake because the assembly is tricky. Here are the first shots.
Kind regards,Sven.

Hi everybody, and a big Happy New Year from Down Under ! The work going on here so far is really impressive, our great hobby is in very safe hands for the future.
My 7yo son Liam and 10yo son Josh both won prizes at our club christmas raffle, and Liam has made a start on his already, so I might enlist on his behalf and see if we can get finished by the end date.
Keep up the great work, see you soon with an update.
Cheers, D
BTW, I created a thread a while back dedicated to junior builds, I encourage everybody to have a read and contribute whenever they want. Keeping the Love Alive

There is something about seeing a kid smile when they have a box full of kit parts that puts a smile on my face. Come on get them started.

Andrew has built three kits, and all have ended up broken before I could get pictures. He'll start again, but it's going to be a simple kit, under $10.00. I hope to have pictures soon.
