What is the wire on the front of the M113 for? I see you have the tow cable on the back, where it is recommended. I'm not sure that the front hatch would be blocked by stowage, just in case of an rpg.



I'm not real familiar with the interior set-up on the APC, but isn't that just an engine access hatch in the front? Or, can it actually be used for getting out of the vehicle, if needed?

I suppose that is true. So long as there is no bulkhead, I'd be using it if the rear of the vehicle was hit.

The M113 APC had three crew access doors, the rear (main), then one on the left of the vehicle and another up top. Nobody's getting out the front, as it's simply a maintenance hatch. My dad's track was FULL of gear on the front, hell even some of the ODS guys I knew had the front completely crammed on their M113A2s.

The exterior of the M113 is awesome! Unfortunately, the photos of the interior aren't loading.

i have some problems with photos today.. additionaly wash of exterior is needed..and update of interior follow..
