Howdy Y'all
I still haven't posted the kit I will be building (KV-II).
Just wanted to congratulate Jessica. That's a nice looking model with creative markings. You made an old kit look fun.

Sal nice to see you in here my friend

and a cool choice you have brought with you

. As to the colour I'd say it is single coloured with plenty of dirt on it. Have you got decals for the "bestimmt für OKW" or is this going to be a freehand paint job

. Whatever you'll master it
Don I'm looking forward to your KV 2 also
John You can come and go as often as you like, but please leave a mark in here during your flying visits
So another KV2 it's to be, cool. That looks like one heavy piece of aluminium you have there too

@Paul
Thanks for letting me come and go as I please

I got that metalgun barrel for some time, I'll try to change the build sequence so I'm going to do the turret first.
Then I'll work the hull.
I'll try to do a 3 tone camo with Winter finish unless I find a real cool paint scheme...

Howdy Y'all
Here's the model I'll be building:
1/48 scale HobbyBoss KV-2 754 (r)
I forgot to date the photo by putting today's Sunday paper in the photo. I hope this will be acceptable, let me know if it isn't.

It'll be an "out of the box" build.
Take care,
Don "Lakota"

Hi Don,
I was trying to find some different camo's, but I'm seeing that HobbyBoss picked the same scheme as Trumpeter's 1:35..
All I found were 3 tone camo's and Winter weathering over russian green.
Will try to find some other paint finish..

Hi John
I know what you mean. I think I saw a Russian green with winter white wash and a German cross in a photo on the internet. I was thinking of trying the hairspray technique on that scheme. Then again I could always chicken out and go for the 3-color camouflage scheme.
The book publisher Kagero has some decals in their TopColors Barbossa 1941 book. It is on sale at Squadron right now. There is a BO4 KV-II captured by the Germans. The markings are pretty simple. If you PM me I could send some info.
Take care,
Don

Hi Don,
all I ask is that everybody is honest enough to bring an unstarted kit to the party. Your start picture is therefore
proof enough for me
Happy modelling.
Paul
Edit:
Sal, a speedy start you have laid down again, but you have been
a bit rough with the return rollers. Try and get the those cut outs under the tracks and she'll be fine.

Thanks Paul. I'm off on a business trip so I can take the model with me and start mine and everyone else's favorite part-cutting sanding and assembling the road wheels.
Take care,

Hi there, this is for you Krazy KVers out there. I've checked some reference books of mine and found the following:
KV2 the top pic could be using red brown over the russian green-

KV 2 the top pic is is winter white washed, but the bottom one is using red brown and possibly a sand colour-

KV 2 both pics the same vehicle, red brown definitely and sand over russian green?

I think this is just russian green with the balken kreuz, this is the first pic taken earlier (I think

)

Hope you like em and I hope they help you choose your colour schemes
Paul
Edit:
I just realised that these are the evidence pictures for Trumpys box art!

Do you need some pictures of the inside of the real vehicle?
