Great information Bruce, I would like to know more of what you dug up there. I never thought about the equipment that was either abandoned or captured in the Phillipines, the PT boats would be a nice project in IJN service or any other item that was left behind.

Hi all, and welcome on board Bruce, Jessica, BobR, Steph
and Jon

@Jessica and Bruce: Nice infos people I think with that it
should make chosing a subject a lot easier, possibly even
get a few crossovers out of it

@ Steph: It looks to me like your an armoured car fan
That choice is excellent, and original. I´ve not heard of
that one yet.
Keep the ideas coming everyone, although I must say I´m still searching for something less heard of myself
See you all later.

Hello Bob,
I have a book on the IJN Ships and will look there first. I also have a few 100 books on the Japanese Campaign in the Philippines in '41-'42 including the M-3 Stuart's that they captured and used in Burma.
Give me a few days,
Cheers,
Bruce

Hi Sal, thats one reason why I chose June next year. I would like to do this SdKfz 233, but at the moment there
is nothing on the market in 1/35. The old New Connections
kit is no longer available, and before I commit myself to scratching the Tamiya or AFV kit

, I´ll wait and see
what surprises are in store for us untill then
Here a picture for discussion purposes:

Cheers Paul

I plan on doing the AFV Club T34/85 in German service. I'm the ninth enlisted, sounds like you've lost some people; unless the required ten enlisted are counted from Model Shipwrights and Aeroscale.
Glad the campaigne starts later next year, I have about six more that are starting or ending in December / January.

Welcome Christopher,
I had 14 on the original list including 3 from Aeroscale and MSW. There´s no worry though, I´m sure enough will stay
on to keep it fun

If not not I guess I´ll have to make up some names

take a lot of time off work and reduce my stash
It sounds like many are in the same campaigns, so I look forward to seeing all your builds in the winter time.

Thanks a lot Paul; there do seem to be a lot of campaign-junkies. Get to tick a model off my list AND talk loosely on a subject with other people? Yeah, that's always awesome!

That's a good reference site. I saw my SU-76M from MiniArt, but then I saw so many other options; I might have to do a second!

now thats spooky... was googling tank riders for my Stug E yesterday and came across a Russian one -not sure if it was an E so if I need photographic evidence I may struggle, but I am sure at some point the Russians did use one... so if i can find evidence I may join with a Russian StuG & Russian tank riders....

Hi Robert,
the more the merrier, check this link out and see what you then decide. The second foto in the "Self-propelled gun"
section could be a StuG E.

Hi Steph,
nice link there

I have 2 questions and would be very happy if you or anyone else can answer them:
Is this a Panzer 2 gun mantlet?

What turret is this? I thought something from the BT series

, but none seem to match up

Hello Paul,
I think the first one is from a Pz 2. Probley from a B/C version. The 2nd one is from the BT series, I think the gun is a 57mm an it is a BT-2/3 or command vehicle. It looks like there is a radio antenna to the right side of the turret.
I will check my books and see if I can get a positive check on them if you like.
Cheers,
Bruce
