I'll give you this...you don't keep us in suspense
Very cool T, looks great. That Thoma came out excellent...doesn't look like it would be easy to construct but yours looks perfect.
So...this will be getting the new AK 1945 color set?

T you are working on a piece that will have extraordinary impact. Keep mind of what this kampfwagon rolled through and for--you keep turning up special vistas of record--they hold hints and revelations which will come to magnify the total presence of your model. Take extra time to listen to your subject, and do not focus on the duel excessively. We are not losing interest.

Thank you Rick...not only for stopping in to take a peek, but for the encouraging words!! Keeping a pretty good focus on things at the moment. If I can have a tremendous amount of fun with a project, the build will just sort of flow and it all comes together. The painting and weathering stages are the most fun for me so they tend to move right along. LOL...funny that you mention what this one went through...I, like many, can bog myself down with research of the history of a particular vehicle, time and place. So will all that....I am hitting the booth today to start the beginning stages of the painting and see if I can pull this one off.!!
Hope to have some pics a bit later!!

Time for another update!
Since I have a few new items, it's always good to play around a bit. Out of the AK Track and Wheel Set of paints, I grabbed the Satin Black and the Rubber/Tire colors and laid down a bit of dark primer coloring to the barrel.
With the Rubber/Tire color still out I attacked the road wheels to see how the paint works! I airbrushed the outer edge first to save some time and then the face with a fine tip brush.
Now I did buy the 1945 German Late War Colors and everything I would need to use is right in there....but I decided to lay down the first coat using part of the Dunkelgelb set from AK.
Interesting in that with the light base coat now on, it is looking like the museum piece a bit!
I have chipped back some of the first layer and will give this a quick clear coat before applying some camo. The rubber road wheels are now installed and I am doing the final assembly on the steel wheels! Should have some pics later I hope!!
Thanks for playing along!

....sorry for the delay, holidays, family, work...whatever, all excuses! LOL!! Been a little busy it seems. So, with that here is my update:
Some camo....
Then of course I need to fix some things...back and forth, blah blah...the dots!!
Then some blending...
Everything looks better in black and white!!
Time for some filters...washes...other assorted stuff!! I will try and keep at this so that this little duel can move into stage two.
As always, thanks for stopping by!!

OK, not much of an update but will go through the motions here...
Got a good wash on, and managed to get the decs, what there is for this one, on.
Along with that, I finally got some color on the tools and such.
Time for a little dusting....from the AK Tracks and Wheels paint set, I started with some Dry Mud.
Finished up this portion of the dusting with the some, you guessed it, Light Dust
Things are starting to blend for me now. I have plenty more items to do on this....dusting, some mud here and there washes and what not. I also got the tracks started last night. So that will keep me busy tonight I think. I will leave you, for now, with the obligatory B&W Shot.
Thanks for swinging by and checking things out!!

Hi Bob! The glove is a standard, non-powdered latex glove.

Looking sweet Todd, and very cool in B&W. This one is nearing the finish line
Great pictures and sbs too, thanks for that! How about a pic of your work area, I saw a hint of it in your PT build and am curious where all this magic occurs.

Todd;
Progressing well! Ambush scheme came out well. The tracks are
always a hassle for me. Good luck. She's looking good, so far
keep up the great work. It'll be a stunning piece when finished.

OK, this project is still alive!!!
I was waiting for an order of some figs to come in from mainland China.....so here they are!!
They came in last Saturday and since this is not a build about the figs I will jump to what I got done this week...
I still need to finish some work on the tracks and some of the weathering....let's not forget the base either...LOL!!!
Thanks for having a peek!!
