Hello every one .
First of all thank you every one who has sent me nice messages of encouragement i am not going to give up.
well i managed to build the rest of the stowage brackets so the rear of the hull up to the front bins is complete .
Those straps took ages i dropped them more times then it took to fit them lol
also made a new gun crutch a different design to others nothing more then i expect everything else has been different in one way or other on this model.
Anyway hope you like what i have done so far .
ossie

Great work on the details Michael! Can't wait to see the two Swedish Brits side by side once finished.
Sad to hear about the health issues. Good to see you making progress anyway. Wish you a speedy recovery.

Hello every one sorry for the delay in adding to the blog . but i have decided to change something and my wrists . i am going to build the Strv 104 as a painting exercise and show you how i paint tanks also gives me a chance to experiment getting the colours right for the Strv 102 which will go in Euro.
Strv104
i have now added the stowage and all is left is a strap for the shovels and the drivers hatch to be finish and the hull is complete. i decided to use the kit side plates as they look good .
Strv 102
i managed to build enough of AFV CLUBs individual track links to add them to the tank . but not done complete length left out a portion in the middle but time side plates are on it wont make a difference.
i am now starting on the drivers hatch springs and then the front lights and stowage for front hull plate and hull be finished . Side plates will be made but fitted at a later date.
hope you like it .

Status strv104 Hull Complete
Hi to every one , well i really been busy this weekend mainly on the STRV 104
the Hull is now complete except for the tow rope and unsure about putting the exhaust cover heat shroud on the hump and rear part of the engine deck .
So what have i done well i added a handles to the ice cleat pins and some chain to them .
Added a clamp and strap to the shovels .
Completed the drivers hatch area including replacing the spring , fitting the tilt brackets and i used plastic card rather then etch brass for the turn guide on the periscope covers.
On the side plates i carried on using the etch set from eduard for the tamiya centurion and also used aber etch numbers to add the welded registration numbers which are on the side plates and yes they are all over the place like real one.
My view well not my best . but i am happy with it.
STRV102
Just the drivers hatch as you can see.
Hope you like the builds ossie

Hi everyone thought i show you what i did last night on the Strv 104.
i decided i have ago at making some smoke grenade discharger covers as i will need them for my Strv 102 . Well i think they came out ok .
i found a problem with the turret kit. the turret mantel left hand armor is right size wrong position . so what i did was added 105mm plastic barrel end and shortened the other end by the same.
Also had to make two new different smoke discharger mount9ing brackets for the left hand smoke discharger allowing the add on armor would fit
i also checked all the seams in case any one says anything .
i am very pleased with the out look so opinions please .

Looking good!
I went for the same solution for the mantle ERA box.
One small thing, it might already there, hard to tell in the photo: the turret lift hooks might benefit of some weld texture at their base?
Cheers,
/E

Looks outstandig Ossie! The rivets around the mantle must have been fun
Your WIP photos will come handy for anyone who wants to tackle the 102 (and 104) in the future.
Looking forward to see how all the detail work will look after some paint.
Cheers,
/E
