I have ordered Verlinden Ammo, Eduard photo etc,Archer decals for Gun and crew.,Trumpeter K-5 crew plus the Dragon crew(supplied with gun). Thats a huge kit your planning, there was a build awhile ago showing progress. Haven't seen an update for months though.

Off topic..for the avatar, click on the settings tab near your name at the top. Modify profile, along the right, you'll see a box that allows you to choose a custom pic. A large list shows up..pick the one ya want, be sure to save changes..
I believe the rank will change as your post count increases,

Hope to see your progress

Once I make some space in my "Mission Room" I want to build one or both of these.

So yes, please show us some progress on your build!

Re this project. I am at the research stage. I have the 6 crew figures that came with the kit.I have purchased the Trumpeter Leopold crew(6 figures). So my gun will have a 12 man crew. I have purchased and am waiting on the the following:
1. Resin barrel from Azimut
2. Resin Dragon detail kit from Azimut(mainly rail trucks/wheels assy)
3. 28cm projo markings from a German co
4.28 cm Grenates(rounds) from Roll models
5. From Archer helmet, uniform patches and shoulder boards(3 different sheets.) Leopold decal set.
6. An extra Heers uniform sheet because I have 12 figures.
I just love E bay
I hope to get started as soon as everything arrives.
Thank you for your help in locating the bits and pieces. I was going to get a turned metal barrel but T $ 86+ TOO EXPENSIVE.

Moderator might I recommend a website?
You have to register(free) it is militaryzone.info It is full of books and model info. To Access the model info you have to donate $12 but you get four weeks of downloading.
I will keep all posted.
By the way, I commanded/served is 105 mm ,155 Towed,155 sp,8in sp , M 107 175 mm sp gun units.

I purchased a barrel and Dragon update kit from Azimut. After looking at photo on Great Models/Sprue Bros website I am not sure whether the kit has one or 2 rail trucks. I have asked Azimut and will let you know. Below is their e mail and other info should anyone want to use it.

Has anyone dealt with Azimut Productions in Paris France???? I have a $100 order(product plus shipping with them. I have e mailed several times, No Answer. I bought the resin barrel for my K-5e,plus the Dragon K5e Update kit. They acknowledged the order on 29 Dec 2012 but then nothing. I am used to being notified. Eduard has sent e mails as have the CONUS sellers,by the way the Peddinhaus projectile decals look great. Got them plus others on e bay.
If any of you can give me some insight to Azimut I'd appreciate it.

Check out the pinned threads at the top (and others) of the User Support Forum. I think it is all dealt with there, but don't get confused by the fact that you have to log into the photo gallery separately. Remember too that if your first attempt to post a photo doesn't work, you can edit your forum posts and try to correct it.

Up on the top right of the screen, click Settings between your call sign name and where it says Inbox. Then click Modify Profile. You can upload photos to use as avatars on the right under My Photos - make sure you've got it formatted so it is square, not quite sure what size, 100x100 pixels or 50x50 will probably do it. Assume this is what you're talking about.

Chris unfortunatly tank/Museum at aberdeen Prooving Ground is no more.It was closed and all the tanks and guns were sent to Ft Eustis or was it Ft Lee,both outside Washington DC.The Congress did not appropriate the funds to build the new museum. So everything is parked under temp housing and as of Oct 2012 was not open to the General public. I shouldn't say this but I got there and because o my rank I got in.It is sad to see beautiful equipment deteriorate. Our Govtat work , money for countries that hate us and nothing for us. (sorry NO POLITICS JUST OBSERVATION) I wish all could see the museum,no idea when it might re open.

Finally everything is here. Photo etch from Eduard,Decals from Archer,Also ammo from Verlinden(out of scale), Paint Vallejo acrylic and a beautiful turned barrel from Stratton Modelbau(see reference website etc above) This man sent the barrel and ammo to me $72 without pre payment!!!!!!!! he sent is on my promise to pay. I am flabbergasted. Of course I have paid him with paypal. I still cannot believe it.
I have glued and painted the base. I used a product from Home Depot(hardware store) to simulate the ballast. Worked great. Painted the ties tracks etc. Will put the rail portion together first.
I have primed with Tamiya grey primer.
I will take photos and post soon I promise.
Right now I am worried about the photo etch tiny pieced and grinding off kit detail .
Wish ma luck posting pics.

Unfortunately, from my own dealings with Azimut and from what I've read about from many others on this site, they have a very poor customer satisfaction rating. I ordered a resin figure from them that came with no head and the wrong arms. After repeated e-mails they just stopped responding. My advice would be to contact your credit card company and stop payment. Al
