Not ignoring this, just need more time to get enough progress to post. Good things in other threads on here to edit my build.

I just picked mine up again too.. instead of finishing something else for AMPS..
Going to use your photos and the Kagero plans to add the fuel filler cap.
How did you/are you handling the cover and fittings behind the headlights?
I saw from a review of the earlier posts that the kit supplied cover is a 'later' feature.
My US$0.02 is that the headlight guard inner brace is missing, but that's an easy fix.
The other couple of microscopic tweeks I see are the 'bump stops' for the trim vane hinges.
And the geometry of the commanders hatch light and the space behind the periscopes is off. It almost looks like they combined the vertical arm and the wiring run. The circular (wire cap holder?) fitting on the rightmost periscope is missing too.
Are you coming out East for AMPS? Hope to have mine done by then.
Keep up the good works.
Mike

Sorry to say, not going to AMPS this year. Being a grad student and having my eldest child in college makes money thin. I am saving my extra pennies for the World Expo in Chicago in July.
As for the light fittings...um, not sure. That is SMALL detail. Thinking plastic rod and some left over PE might do it.
As for the other details, yeah, I am trying to add them as I build (when I build) but trying to not get overwhelmed.
The commanders hatch area is...okish to me. Not sure I want to make this too accurate as it will involve a LOT of work to get shapes correct. Already had enough fun with the major changes and big details Trumpeter missed (how DO you miss the fuel filler cap on the top of the hull where God and everyone can see it?)
Just hope to get this done someday...

I hear you about school and kids. Sending two off this fall as well and the kit acquisition budget has taken a BIG hit..
The light guard brace is pretty small and I'll see how the trim vane stops go from old scrap etch.
Not sure how far down the commanders spotlight rabbit hole I am going..
Its funny though, I rotated those pictures in photobucket, but they don't show that here.. go figure.
I've managed to stall getting anything done on the fuel filler cap for this long.. I've still got 2 months. (whopping prediction, kit makes it to AMPS East 2018..)

I honestly do not remember what the black part was...from the spares box.
Sergej ended up making his own part and not using mine. I think his is better. He also made a intake for the air system so it is not just a plug now.
Your work looks good, keep it up.

Some of those last reference pics are mine. I'll try to move them over to Imgur today or tomorrow.

Would the bmp1p be used in Syria?
