Howdy matt,
Rotor's got a great idea, I'm in the construction industry, so I could bring everything you need, from CAD design of the 'Ultimate' modeling room, right on through the construction and trim out.
Shame you're so far away, heck, shame we're all so far away!!

JAQUES,
Excellent build dude. Way to use your imagination. Love the way it came out.
Where can I get one of those for the L.A. Freeways.

O.K. matt.........you're building a fire truck!?! I know.....an armoured, tactical Hook & Ladder rig! Complete with applique armour plating, an ejector system so the truck can actually 'shoot' the ladder at the enemy, and a really loud siren!......right?
I like the idea of an armoured compartment for the ladder driver in the rear. Little gun ports to look through and all.................
Tread.
Oh, almost forgot......I would really re-think that bright fire engine red camo paint job though!

TREAD,
cant get nothing past you HUH?
This whole GTO thing has really consumed the HEMTT usage. Just curious.? Have we closed our Focus to only the HEMTT. ..........I know its so much fun and BIG, AND UGLY, Im wondering what other vehicles would could use as a base for some other WILD ABOMINATION.??? Although I have to admit w/ the M977 chassis you have plenty of room
and area to go crazy with. I wish I didnt have so many HOT things on the bench, it makes the "experimenting" and "TO DO" list get that much longer in length. .......Its dragging in my work space.....LOL

Howdy matt,
Got a couple of suggestions for ya......boost the mounted fire hose (that's usually mounted on the man-platform) water pressure to something that can cut glass, and you've got yourself a real anti-personnel weapon! Next, change the 'fire engine' red camo paint scheme to Romulan 'cloaking device' clear coat and you've GOT something!!

Howdy Rotor,
'Different' coloured horse's you say, huh? Well, let's see.....I've been trying to think about something 'differently' flavoured, and have actually been thinking along the lines of 'combining' elements of the engagement. More specifically, if you read far back enough in the 'T2K, where is everyone?' thread, I stated that I was building a standard 10-Ton HEMTT that I was transfiguring into a LWB 16.5-Ton PLS version of the HEMTT. This reconfiguration has made me realise that with the longer wheelbase many things are possible. Additionally, the awareness of the Mk.48 articulated version of the HEMTT, plus the new '5th wheel' configuration of the military Humvee vehicle opens up certain possibilities as well.
One of the things I'd personally like to see expanded upon is the Sea and Air possiblities of the T2K Campaign. Maybe the ' wingy-thingy' guys and the under-represented 'swabbies' on the site might participate if we started that kind of 'flavour'........who knows!
The Soviet Navy is an immensely strong entity, and is well represented physically. I would love to delve into that side of the 'T2K' storyline. Think of the possibilites.....and of the modeling challenges as well! I can picture a Soviet 'Boomer' that has absolutely NO limitations in ti's design parameters (did they ever?).
How about the 'Air' part of the equation. An expansion on the American LXH program could open up all kinds of things! How about a 'Super Lift', quad-bladed version of their Hound series of helos? Or, ......or, an updated, and reconfigured attack version of their heavy 'sea-skimmer' transport aircraft re-adapted to 'skimming' the flat and level plains of the Central and Southwestern plains of the United States? A surface-skimming, over-scale aircraft, capable of launching massive pre-emptive strikes against US cities just minutes before they arrive!! I can just imagine the sight of some kind of massive and unusual dust storm bearing down on a city like Kansas City, where there is an unrelenting, and level plain west of the city for literally hundreds of miles! The populace see's the dust storm coming. It is even reported on the few operating radio/TV stations available, the citizenry just thinks it's simply another dust storm. Just another of many that have hit many times before, but!..............it's something else.
They wouldn't know what hit them!
Oops, sorry, got off on a tangent!......my bad.
I'll shut up.
Tread.
