Thanks Robert! BTW...nice call on the castings!! I went back and checked with the manufacture (CAT) and the Idlers have cast numbers on them.

The cast numbers were missing from the Vajra kit as well, so I fixed them. I may do a set for this one when I get home and cast them.

Since I ran out of time last night to give and update...it will have to be now!

The top of the undercarriage section went down with no issues at all.

Next up was steps 3 & 4; The Ripper

Again, this part is fairly straight forward. a little clean up and the parts fell together!

The Ripper and its frame get installed with no glue to the undercarriage.

Step 5 & 6 came and went quickly with the construction and installation of the hydraulics for the ripper. These are movable parts; both on the ends of the rods and the rods in the cylinders.

I am onto step 7 which is the second part of the Ripper installation. I should have an easy go of this as well.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Well, I built mine in sub assemblies to make painting easier. I am doing mine as a Army D9. I wish I could take pictures of it but my camera did survive the rinse cycle in my washing machine (long story).
Too bad I can't fine and pictures of the D9 in Nato camo

Here is mine so far.
I was going to paint it today, But i figured I'd wait till I'm done with the tracks before I do since everything is the same color.

OK, time for a little update. Slow day at the bench, busy day in the yard...it has to be done sometimes!

I was able to finish cleaning the Ripper parts and giving the the ole install~ Still a dry fit on the plates and the hydraulics. I want to ensure I will have an easy go of the painting session.

The tow hooks needed a little clean up. I found an EPM on the inside bend of the hook a light seam line over the hitch pins. They will get attached to the main structure prior to painting.

Onto the office!! The cabin parts were all cleaned....

All of these parts more or less fall together nicely! The seats are dry fit but ...fit like a glove!

A little bit of a layout!

I will be cleaning up the cabin walls and window frames tomorrow. Plotting what needs to be glued now and what can wait while the painting takes over....still plenty to do before that though!!

As always...thanks for tuning in!!

Just a tip, I glued the walls of the cab together but I didn't put any of the interior bits in yet, nor did I glue the roof on. It will make it easier to mask the window openings and there is plenty of room to a the interior parts after painting.
It may not be the best way to do it but it works for me.

Thanks Vince...appreciate the headz-up! Right now this has been a dry-fit experience! I am digging how most of this fits!! Makes the mock up pics easy!!!

Coming together now T. I'll say one thing, I'm impressed with the molding details on the parts. Looks like Meng did a really great job.

Wow, this looks like a heck of a kit. I can see this on back of a transporter. Very sharp detail.

Todd, is there any difference in interior layout between the IDF and Marine versions?

Todd, kudos on a most excellent WIP....like the pics of the parts layout, instruction sheet step and assembled items....will be a GREAT help when I start mine!

If this is typical of your WIP's I will be a follower for sure!
