Nice! I especially like the guy waiting with his arm behind his back.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for looking in and the feedback, appreciated.

Al
BTW if anyone is interested in Early British Quick Firing Artillery I picked up a copy of the same title by Len Trawin ISBN 1-85486-154-9.publisher, Nexus Special Interests Ltd.
It covers the:
QF 15 pdr Mkl I
Qf 13 pdr
Qf 18 pdr Mk I
BL 5 Inch Howitzer
QF 4.5 inch Howitzer
plus a host of material on gun carriages, sights, materials use in construction, misc stores, Harness etc. 406 pages packed with information and diagrams of the guns and equipment, a really excellent reference book on these early guns.
Cheers

Hi Al,
that's very interesting news thanks. I have a few Hornet headsets with British helmets in my closet....gives me an idea for a vignet including a canon. But first things first of course.

Hi Kurt,
We could do with some new 1/35 scale WW1 heads. The Hornet set of soft caps are very good but their WW1 helmets don't portray the Brody Helmet but a slightly later version I think, but they are still the only game in town so to speak, although some of the Resicast early helmets/heads are better.
Cheers

Hi Al,
Regarding the figure with his arm behind his back: You turned his head to the left, exactly as I had hoped. All of the soldiers look like they have a job to do -- except that slacker with no arms and no head! This scene looks awesome!

Hi Alan,
love your gun crew! The only thing I'm not happy with is the bottom back torso (shirt?) of the ammo carrier guy!
Too slick, too round, too "plastic" if you see what I mean! Especially so, as the top part is showing folds!!
A couple of vertical folds/creases might have done the trick! Or what do you think!???
Otherwise well done indeed! Especially like the signaller!! Looks just great!!!
Cheers

Hi Romain,
Thanks for the thoughts. Think of him starting to stand up rather than bending over and with a cord around the back of the jacket.
The signaller will add a nice splash of colour.
Cheers

Hi Mike,
Hopefully the signaller makes sense as the telegraph/phone lines are down and the same for the gunner about to look through the telescope to check the incoming signal. I'll make him a SNCO as having fired a few rounds they are just about to be told to check fire.
Cheers

Always love it when there is arty involved. Brilliant tht you have the semifor guy in there as well and the linemen. Much used and little modeled.

Hi Jerry,
Lacking anything more suitable these chaps will have to do. I opted to use the plastic heads as most of them will be under the camo net, but they are much harder to paint than the resin one I've become used to working with.
Some rank badges will brighten them up a bit and I want to get the build more or less complete for the end of the Great War Campaign, plus on a long build like this one it gets harder to keep the motivation going.
One step closer, three steps back lol.
Cheers

Hi Alan,
niiiice photos!!!!!! Thanks for posting them!!
The camo netting has turned out quite convincing indeed!!
And the scene is cluttered, but realistically, not "Verlinden style"!!! Super!!!!
Keep up the brilliant work m8!!

Hi Romain,
Many thanks. Some minor adjustments to make and a few hanging/personal items to add in but I think the crew turned out quiet well, all in all.
There will be a lot of activity across the board when done so it will certainly be busy and cluttered
Cheers
