Hi Alan,
Still following this one and being amazed att all the detail and human elements you are putting into your project.
This diorana is an instant classic, beautiful work.
Cheers,

Hi Sven,
Glad you're enjoying the build, there is still a lot to do but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Cheers

Yes two pushers are better than one. I'm making the second chap as an additional Walking wounded.
Now that is truly admirable; both on his part and yours. Way to stay in the fight!

Hi Michael,
Thanks for checking in and the comments, appreciated.
A bit more work on the 2nd pusher, just some base paint added. I wondered why I hadn't used the head on the original wounded then noticed it has a scrim net and I don't recall those being around in 1916, so I'll either have to switch out the head or cover the helmet with some hessian. The hands aren't in a great posture on this one being closed fists but as he's leaning against the wagon they may work OK.
Cheers
Al
Looking at the scene perhaps a small Red Cross flag on the wagon or in the 2nd pushers hands might be a nice touch. I'll hang a water bottle on the front and possibly a rifle & haversack too.

You could also bandage the clasped hand to signify a wound?

Hi Chris,
Thanks, I had considered that as a possible option to, and it is a good contender.
Thanks for the thought, bandages hands would be in keeping with the scene.

Details, details, details! As always, this dio is packed full of them ... Like the bandaged soldier helping to push the cart with his forearms. Nice touch.

Hi Alan. Havent been in this thread for a while, but just went through the whole thing from the start, and it was a pleasure watching the progress from start until now. Amazing amount of details and makes for a very busy and clattered scene ... which was the case also ... so this all adds to the authenticity of it. Great work Alan ... you captured something special here ... and something not often done. Great job incorporating the different ref photographs into the scene as well. Fantastic.

Hi Frank,
Many thanks and glad you enjoyed it so far. In theory I should be on the home straight at this point but there is still a lot to do, but it is definitely moving in the right direction.
If I could get a couple of days uninterrupted work, I could get a lot done but I'm doing and hour or two here and there so it seems to be taking a long time.
You comments and encouragement help - good motivating stuff.
Thanks and Cheers

Hi folks,
Added some cap badges to the linemen, they are coming along and I also dug out some wooden 95mm ammo boxes I got from Accurate Armour a few years ago but never used. They look generic enough to stack but the side of the track along with some 6 inch gas and HE shells.
With the announcement of the ICM German infantry I'm hoping the British set isn't too far behind. If they are marching troops as shown in the provisional box art then I have some slouch hats to turn them into Aussies which would be fun and add a bit of colour to the scene.
Cheers

Oh how familiar this sounds. I'm not even going to ask how many hours you've put in so far. Wish I had the space to take on something this impressive.

Hi Jerry,
I got the AA set 4/5 years ago but didn't use them. They are wooden boxes so seem generic enough to find a home here.
Hi Kimmo,
Space = the final frontier. We could probably all do with more space. Thanks for looking in.
Cheers
