Pawel,
it shows its age. Molds are not in the perfect shape. Some sanding is required. But... I like it. Weathering is my weak point. So far it did receive first coat of dark gray. Now, using Vallejo modulation set I will try to get some color modulation and then a little bit of weathering, or more of weathering if time permits...

Just finished this little thing last night. It was a reasonably easy build with no major issues, just took a long elapsed time because of other stuff. Some seam filling around the inside of the launcher but other than that it went together like a dream. There are a lot of decals for the missile, none for the launcher at all, but they were very easy to work with. One broke and i put one back-to-front. Some maybe upside down but you wouldn't notice them as the "print" is so tiny. I deliberatly went for a weathered look on the launcher and a clean look on the missile as it's a re-load. Unfortunatly the clear coat is too glossy...satin would probably have been better. The whole thing is brush painted with Vallejo acrylics (a first for me) and weathered with AK washes and Tamiya powders. Clear coat is a Tamiya rattle can.

If there's a "Flak you two" I'll be in

Cheers
Sean

Looks fantastic, Sean! And, yes, it does look like there may be a "Flak you Two!" in the offing. Maybe start Summer or Fall.

Turned out great, Sean despite the gloss on the missile!

Cool choice, Roman! Are you sure the remaining two weeks are enough to finish it?

Finally finished it! I can't say I enjoyed this build! But anyway, here it is!

Disappointing kit! No decals for the missiles! I intended to install 2 missiles, but some parts broke off on one, so, it was down to one only! Trumpeter revived my long forgotten hatred for "Links and Lenghts" tracks... big time!

I think it's a little bit on the dirty side, but I wanted to represent a vehicle on maneuver for an extended period of time.

Cheers and constructive comments are most welcome!

Nice Work Christian, despite the troube it looks pretty good to me.
I´m almost done with my Flak aswell. Was urged to get a replacement barrel, was well worth it, I guess

In this shot the remains of the sink marks are overly visible, in´t that bad in reality. Still a bit annoying...

Pics for the gallery will folow...

Looks great, Christian! Sorry to hear you had so much trouble with this kit. Yes, it does have some real deficiencies, but I enjoyed building mine. Of course, I also put Friuls on it, so no messing with the provided L&L tracks.

Finished the LAV-AD

No weathering since I have no idea how I will mount it yet. Seems to happen a bit more often recently

Had terrible issues with my mobelwagen (does anyone else think that some kits are just cursed and dont want to be built?).

I am in still but am building AFVs Bofors

Started Sunday afternoon and already am well into it. Will post more soon.

yes it is a old Italeri kit. Old, but still nice to build. some putty is required, some "manual" work, but it is pretty easy to build.

Glad to see so many builds getting wrapped up. Anybody think they'll have trouble meeting the deadline, and might need an extension? I'm generally against extensions as a rule, but if some has had extenuating circumstances we can discuss.

[quote]Hello all,
I just finished Flakpanzer 38 of Tristar. Here are the pics.

Big thumbs up! Very nicely done. Like the wear and tear and the camo looks spot on.

I am almost done. I could use one more week but understand if the answer is "no"

Another week or two of extension would be great.I'm nearly done with the assembly and would really need some extra time to do the painting and weathering stuff.

Very well then, shall we say one more week--7 Mar--and go from there if necessary?
