I have no idea on how to run a campaign if that is what u are suggesting. Either way, I'm continuing my home improvements no matter the status/updates required...model on dudes!

Sounds like a good idea for a campaign. I have a Verlinden bunker that I made into a diorama for a campaign a few years ago and I have never been happy with the way it turned out. I would like to go back and make it look like it has been at the mercy of the elements and also make it look more lived in. I also have a couple of other prior campaign entries that I might want to re-do.
So I would be interested in taking part in your campaign Mark.
Thanks,
Randy

That gets us to 9-ish, which should be about enough to get this off the ground. Just need to come to consensus on the time frame. I know John wanted to run this from now until the Summer, but I'm thinking more the latter part of the year. What does everyone else think?

Hey guys I have a dio with a mkIII Panzer and an Opel Blitz which I want to redo. I built it before coming on KMN so I could do lots to make it better. So depending on time scales I would join in.

Anytime would be fine with me. However later on this year would probably be better for me as well.
Thanks,
Randy

Oh geech...didn't mean to pressure anyone to a completion date...
A retroactive start date would be way cool...and then finish towards the end of the year (2015) would be great!
What is the proposal for the campaign 'fruit salad' (ribbon)???
Posted: Wednesday, January 21, 2015 - 03:53 AM UTC
I have submitted the proposal. Think I shot for May-Dec for the campaign to run. Also stipulated that the base kit for the campaign must have been completed at least six months prior to the campaign. Hope that doesn't cause anyone too much heart-burn.

Start date is fine with me.
I found out something with the what-if T-55 mounted SA-2 idea....it actually exists. I found a picture of a Cuban vehicle. I'll probably still be doing that.

Hey Mark, I just clicked on this one for the first time, today. It sounds like I could enter pretty much my entire build, having rethought, rebuilt and reengineered virtually every aspect of it over the past couple years
Good luck with the campaign!

John,
Would you do me the kindness of changing the name of the thread from "Proposal" to "Official"? Thanks!

Okay, everyone! Don't forget to enlist! Looking for ideas for a campaign ribbon. Here are a few ideas I came up with:
1)
2)
3)
4)

I think I'm going to rebuild my trench scene I did for the WW1 Campaign. I finished it around April 23rd of 2014 so I'm good on the 6-month finished deal. That can be verified from my final/finished post on that campaign's thread.
My plan is to enlarge the base and reconfigure the trench. And I'll add a second set of WW1 German troops.

A question for you Mark. This is a great idea for a campaign, and one I am sure will be popular. I think I could get involved, but with one slight deviation. Your initial idea was to modify or re-work a model you have previously completed. What if I were to work on a model that someone else built?
At the moment I am doing some work for my local Maritime History Museum, restoring their model ships. I am already keeping my own photographic record of the work I am doing, before and after shots, work in progress etc. The one I am working on right now (Rainbow Clipper, 1854), I have discovered, has been painted in completely the wrong colour scheme, so I am correcting that. This work will be ongoing for the foreseeable future.
If you are OK with this being part of this campaign, great, if not, no problem.
Any thoughts?

Lee,
Under normal circumstances I would have said 'no', but what you're doing sounds so intriguing I will gladly allow it. What I don't want is someone re-painting their little brother's tank or an already finished model they found in a garage sale.

so is this official yet and when is the start date? Im itching to get stuck into my old figures and revamp them.
As for the award, I prefer either 3 or 4.

Mark, I have one that I finished for another campaign(Extreme Trucks). I am not happy with it, would this be allowed if I plan to make changes to it. Improve the exhaust system, add more details such as fuel tanks, decals etc.

Darrell,
Sounds fine to me as long as you "completed" it more than six months ago. But I'm willing to fudge on the six month thing.

BTW, I'm still looking for inputs on the award for this campaign. Vote on one of the options I posted above, or submit your own ideas.
