Well Guy's

I must add my missus got me for my 30th birthday a day out driving tanks in Winchester.

I had the pleasure of driving a Cheiftain, Abbot SPG and an FV432 APC.

A superb day out, I have a photo of myself with a crazed look of power on my face #:- as I drove the Cheif. The Abbot was fun but the FV432 was fastest, it felt like I was dong 50 mph although I think I was lucky to be doing abot 30 mph.

If you guys in the UK are interested look in Argos or Boots for the Red Letter Day dayouts. )

I guess since I had my time on the modern US stuff, ...I have always had a thing for the Panzer IV, but a Tiger would be awesome! Also a T-34.

Thanks for the posts , kind of figured the Tiger and Shermans would rule this post . Not a problem , I guess on the modern side of things ( I think the M-103 was a late 50s early 60s tank have to check ) I guess I would like to try the T-90 just to see how it compares to the Abrams . I know it is hard to pick one certan tank , so having more than 1 favorite is cool by me .

HI
Having been lucky to be in the right place over the years to have driven most UK tanks & APC from ww2 to preseant + most Russian ,German ,USA+ others.

bit fun like for speed etc. T72 dont pull hard on the steering levers ,you will not turn.
2s1 & 2s3 very good once you have mastered teh gera change. oh anfd the big bang on the air start.
driver confiedence Leopard 2A5 really enjoyed it.
hard work T34 or Centurion AVRE when Dozing. T34 when up & running is very very quick but slowing down, changing gear ,differant story.
did not like M1 or M60 odd handle bar type steering? Drove one of the M1 at Grafenwore did not like it at all sorry.
Conqueror for pure enjoyment.
sea sick 2s7

worst tank to drive must be a js3 once in there you have one episcope and you can not see much.

what would i like to drive. .

TITAN new british bridgelayer, fast avlb in the world.
Merkava 3 or 4

upset the neighbour hood Centurion Bridgelayer or a Cieftain AVLB.

my favorite is any Centurion.

Not really a tank but I'd like to try out LAV-25. It be interesting to see what driving with twice as many wheels would be like. #:-) Close second would be an M-109A6 Paladin. Big gun=big boom. Plus it would be fun to have a "lawn grooming" service in the next county without leaving home.

having been in m-48s, shermans, walker Bulldogs, m-1, M-60 (everythings), a Leopard, AMX-30 T-55, T-62, and Chieften, even a Panther, PNZR iv and a T-34/85, about the only thing left is the Tiger series

Gotta be the Challenger 2. It's nails!!! Otherwise, the Chieftain, Centurion or even Churchill. The Tiger or Panther would also be fun. But for a real blast the CVR(T) Scimitar. An armoured sports car!!! Grreeeaaaatttt!!!!

oooh.... tank dreams.... ANY TANK? omg theres too many!!! they're all good!!
but, since we have to nail it down to ONE.... an Italian TANKETTE... i dont know much about them but in this book i read about the American 70th Tank Bn, two of the tankers took it in turn to drive the thing around and it sounds totally awesome.... plus its only one person in it, so you could everything you wanted, you wouldnt have to share
plus they do jumps and stuff, i saw this pic of one jumping over a enbankment... it was cool
(i think it was armed with 7.92mm or a 20mm) either would be fun
