Peter, congratulations on your partnership with Legend. I am glad I have waited to buy your products as I think the quality of your designs will now be superior in production by Legend. I hope you will group together some of your HMMWV items into a set or sets.

In regards to the figure, it is great to see new figures but many model builders would like to see some regular Soldiers and armor crewman instead of yet another Special Forces figure. Model builders are too limited to what they can do with a figure when it is SF specific.

Keep up the great work and I will follow your news.

Nice! Legend has some of the best resin casting out there. Sounds like a great team!

Looks like a very great figure.

Is the equipment the same than the one on DEVGRU figures from Airborne Miniatures ?

I mean about helmet, uniform, body armor.

Yes, the equipment corresponding to DEVGRU forces, SEALs. Used Crye Precision combat uniform, high cuted ACH helmet, Hk, other similar ammunition.
Also equipment similar to equipment using by other SF. For example 75 Ranger rgt., 82nd ERQS. If I not mistaken, USAF Airborne troops too.
Some photos of SF soldiers:

I think to continue the series of SF and regular troops figures.

magnificent. that casting would look amazing on a 1/16 figure...but on a 1/35, it makes me wonder who had to sell their soul at Legend to pour such incredibly detailed resin!

What is that device on the left side of the gun in the Legend figure? Is that a sight of sorts?

I think this is the AN/PSQ-18A day/night sight (DNS) which can be used with the M320 Grenade Launcher Module.

As for the figure, I wonder how complex it will the assembly be. Peter's figures usually come in many parts, with each equipment piece cast separately. Legend, on the other hand, used to release rather simple figures in as few parts as possible.

According to information from Legend Productions, figure release will take place in early August.
All preparatory works are almost completed.

Mario, thank you for your professional consultation by AN/PSQ-18A
In truth, I did not know before the exact name of this sight

All AN/PSQ-18 in Army inventory were declared obsolete and turned in as units converted from the M203 to the M320. It is not compatible with the M320 due to the requirement of the barrel swiveling out to be loaded.

I cannot say definitively yes or no. I have worked with two different Infantry Brigade Combat Teams since the fielding of the M320 and have not seen one yet.

They could be out there in the SOCOM community or one of the FAD 1 Rapid Deployment units.

You are correct. I just googled a bit and learned the M320 GLM uses Day/Night Scope (DNS) which looks quite a lot like AN/PSQ-18 but attaches to the rifle/launcher differently.

AN/PSQ-18A on M203

M320 DNS

Wow, that Legend figure looks awesome and it will be super in 1/16. What I can use is some modern accessories to go with this 1/16 figures. Extra helmets, radio, computers, boots, weapons, ammo magazines...stuff like that. It will be nice touch to display them together with figure/s in a small dio settings. Or it will go nice with 1/16 vehicles.

Food for the thought guys

I have uploaded to the Flickr of large size photos of the new 1/16 figure LF3D16001 US NAVY SEAL Team Operator. In my opinion this is the best quality of casting for 1/16 scale resin figure - the result of highly professional work of Legend Productions team

This is an amazing figure, can't wait for the entire SEAL team to appear in resin.

Peter, I'm glad Legend Productions was smart enough to get you in their team. It really is a great cooperation and a very welcomed one for all of us modern day modelers.
