With the world's current sovereign rivalries, I can understand how a post my disseminate into politics. The Cold War is heating back up, in an already troubled and violent region. Alliances are falling apart. The US Presidential Election does not help to assuage this violent state, either. These are major contributors to stress. I believe a stiff drink, before addressing the forum should be promoted(sorry to those who don't imbibe). The biggest thing I can see this state of affairs effecting the hobby is a rise in shipping rates and delivery times. I have been waiting for more than a month for an order from eastern Europe, although I paid for speedy service. Second time it has happened(the other being the immediately prior order), after years of expecting a good return. This, however, is the golden age of military models. Just look at the new arms race and the brilliance of technicals! With that, I close. May whomever reads this find peace, prosperity and joy.

Modeling is what we do, and should be the ONLY thing we do here. Discussion, constructive criticism, congratulations, etc., on a current build, is obviously welcomed. Suggestions, advice, hints, tips, deals, trades, new kit news, should be the ONLY concern here and that we should 'police' ourselves accordingly. Its imperative the moderators control that.

There are plenty of websites, blogs, etc., for everything else NOT related to modeling. Take it there please!!

There is quite enough B.S going on without bringing it to a site that I feel is intended to to bring us together in a shared interest.
We should go to great lengths to keep it that way.

I agree with John also. Let's assemble some plastic.

We all come from different backgrounds with different opinions. However I go to plastic modeling to relax and have fun. I also want to learn different techniques. I served my time during the Cold War and getting too old for controversy. So many kits but so little time and money.So let's get that plastic assembled and painted!

It came as a surprise to me to discover we are actually expected to make the kits in our stashes. What would we do then!!
