How about the tracks? Are they good? I have the same kit as yours but haven't built yet. I have the metal tracks but I don't know if it's really good enough to replace the original tracks

Please let me know your thinking.
Thanks.

Hi B.L,
I haven't touched the tracks yet, so I can't really comment on their quality and fit
Will let you know once I get to the tracks!
Cheers,
Christos

The Meng (and Orochi) tracks are great. They are indi-link, clickable plastic tracks that go together great and are spot on for the square pad Bradley tracks. There is no need to replace them with metal tracks.

You can see them on my M2A2 ODS backdate of the Meng M3A3 here.

The build is looking great Christos. Can't wait to see the interior weathered and detailed up. Keep up the great work.

Gino,
Thank you very much for the good word, glad you like it so far! As I move along with the build, I am loving the kit more and more!

I still need to do some work on the seats and the floor and I should be able to wrap up the interior.

Let me know what you think

Cheers,

Christos

Looking good. The decals really add to it. One tip, the interior is actually semi-gloss. Also, it looks too chipped to me, especially the side walls (which are Kevlar panels, not steel). Remember, chipping usually only occurs where there is constant wear. How did that occur on the top of walls and such? There would be paint rubbed through and chipped on the floor panels and the BC's foot rest in the turret, but that is about it. Lastly, these vehicles are relatively new and well maintained. They usually have little to no chipping on the interior.

Gino,

Thank you for the good word and your continuous support.
I decided to go for a somewhat lived-in look, just like the pictures below (though they seem to be from an A2?)

I was planning to give it a gloss coat and then an overal wash with oils, so I guess this treatment will give a satin finish.
In addition to this, I am hoping the washes and the pigments will tone down the chipping effect. I will also add a few boxes and in there, which means some of the chips will be covered anyway.

If they after all these, the chips still look intense, I will take further action!

A bit dirtier and I think can call the interior done!

Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions, please chip in!

Looking good Christos, you're doing a fantastic job. This kit is next on my list and seeing yours is really getting me pumped up to tackle mine.

The only question/observation I have is inside the gunner's circle you an see large ejector pin marks and the two connection points of the walls are clearly visible. Is there going to be something else in there to block that view when the rear door is open?

I think you mean inside the turret opening on the walls. If so, no, there are inner turret walls and this area will not be seen. There are a couple injector pin marks on the inner turret walls that need to be filled though. You can see them in the below pic as darker green spots (Squadron Green Putty).

Thanks Gino, yeah that's what I was referring to. You can clearly see them in the 2nd and 3rd pic of Christos' last post. I figured there had to be something there to block them as they would clearly be seen with the rear door open.

Can't wait til my kit comes in!

Monte,
Thank you for the kind comments, glad you like my progress so far!

Gino,
Thank you for the heads up regarding the pin marks on the turret assembly, I will keep an eye for them

I hope I get some bench time the following days, I need to add some final touches to the interior (may change the seats' colour to something greener than the khaki brown as suggested by Meng)

Is anyone familiar with Black Dog figures? I am eyeing a modern us tank crew figure, but need to make sure the figure is suitable and OK for this build

Looking really good! I really like the idea of the Sex Pistols poster on the wall of the interior.

Good morning Josh,

Thank you very much for the good word, I'm glad you think the Sex Pistols poster is a nice tough.

On a different note, I bought a few goodies to supplement my build

Now, how do I fit the King Tiger with the road block...

I need some help with selecting some figures for my Bradley.
Which one is more suitable?
This one

or this one?

Either one of the two you show would do fine. They both appear to be wearing the gray/green UCP ACU uniforms.

Thank you Gino! I might get both of them and decide later which one to use (if not both)

I have just realised I haven't posted some of the updates.
ERA panels are assembled now and the turret is now just one step before paint
