That concrete road block looks fantastic. Great job. How did you paint it?

Hi Monte,
Glad you like the barrier, because I don't like it that much
It's white plaster mixed with black pigment and then washed with burnt umber. I don't really like the brownish tint the wash gave it, so might give it a black or dark gray wash to sort it out!

I don't think a black wash will do to much Christos. It already has a nice used look to it. You might want to try dry brushing some lighter colors. That should give it more depth and break up the monotone umber.
Just a suggestion.

Assembly is complete now. The tracks took me 2.5 hours to clip off and clean up and 40 minutes to clip together both lengths.
I masked off all open sections (that wasn't fun at all) and I have also started priming/painting. I just didn't have the courage to take photos, so only one before priming

Christos,
Before you start painting, the inside of the hatches also need to be the same color as the hull. The TC and gunner's hatch, the drivers hatch, the rear hatch and ramp. and the engine hatch.

Pete,
is the interior of the TOW launcher tan as well or green as mentioned by Meng in the instructions?

Olivier,
All the tan Bradley's I worked on,the inside of the launcher was painted the NATO Green CARC paint. The launcher itself that sits inside the box was also CARC green,
I'm not 100% sure if they came like that from factory or what.

Thank you for the heads up Pete!
I didn't mask the hatches because I realised they should be painted with the hull colour. I should have known better, the Germans were following the same practice in WWII, I don't see any reason why this would be different in modern armour!
I did make the mistake first, but rectified before it was too late!
And thanks for the TOW launcher, too. I was going to paint the tubes only and then search the net to see what's going on with the tube housing.

The base coat has been applied now (Vallejo Iraqui Sand) and I have started painting the smaller details. The tracks have been painted with Vallejo Dark Rubber and the ERA tiles with Vallejo Refractive Green. The TOW tubes and their housing have been painted with Gunze Olive Green. The gun tarp has been painted with Lifecolor Graugrun

Thank very much for the good word, Dustin!
I am sure it will look even better once all the details are painted and the decals are applied.

Gino,
Thank you very much for the good word!
I have completed all painting and decaling now
I might add some more tones to the ERA blocks before the gloss coat.
Let me know what you think!

Good morning Dustin,
I can't thank you enough for your continuous encouragement and kind words!
Truth be told, I am very pleased with it and very exited with my work so far. I am a bit anxious about the weathering, but I think I will pull it off.
Cheers,
Christos!

Christos,
Glad to following along to see this great work come about.
I really like the different tones on the era blocks. Adds a nice visual element.

Dustin, Monte,
Glad you like it so far and thank you for the thumbs up!
I think I will chill this day and resume work tomorrow; I feel I need clear my head because things can get nasty if I rush things!

Washes are complete and the figures are nearly there. Might pop their eyes out though and skin them, because I've done a terrible job. I have also started finalising the base. The sand will get a sandy colour (how odd does that sound?) and then dust the whole thing.

Don't feel bad about the figures Christos. Figures are not my strong suit either. I really like the layout of your base. I think it will look great when it's done.

Good morning!
Been away for a while, as its pretty busy at work and I am currently doing night shifts training the new night auditor, so not much energy for modelling.
Monte,
I didn't like the figures, so I ask a friend of mine, who is a figure modeller, to help me out with the skin tones and faces. In due time, I will spend some time with him to pick up a trick or two!
I have done some more work to the base, I think it looks better now. A few final touches and it should be OK. The Bradley is soon to cross the line, too.
Ron,
Thank you very much for the kind words, I am glad you enjoyed the build and how it has turned out. There are a few more things to do and then I can call it done.
Watch this space!
Cheers,
Christos
