I've been having a proper look through my stash this week to see what I've got that fit in with it properly. I was quite shocked at the options there. I was originally going to build the Airfix 17lber which I picked up cheap as I've got a load of old Airfix multipose figures I wanted to use. I've since found the Bronco Airborne 6lber I started a couple of years ago (not a lot done on it so I don't know if I'd be allowed to use that as it's started), a Tamiya 88mm which although a flak gun is better known for AT work. a Pak 40 and various figures with anti tank rifles/ bazookas/panzerfausts/panzerschrecks/recoiless rifles and the DML panzerbusche 41 with Fallschirmjager set. Oh and the Fallschirmjager with the 7.5cm Leichtegeschutze 40 set. Also an Sdkfz 250/ 10 and a 251/10 both mounting a Pak 36. There was me thinking about buying something to build as I didn't think I'd got anything lol. I have now found things I didn't even realise I'd got! I need to address this buying things because they're a bargain. This is just the unstarted figure stash. I've got tins full of figures to be recycled as I'm not happy with them having now improved lol.
I've just noticed 4 boxes of the Tamiya MG Team on Manouevre behind me which I planned to modify for a column of late war infantry lol. I may try not buying for a bit and do more building.

Clayton,
Welcome to the campaign! Don't worry. We're Very genteel... That is until three weeks before the end of the campaign. Lol...
Karl,
Previously started builds are allowed. We'd rather they made their way to the display shelf instead of hiding forever in a box of parts.

So I just want to have it confirmed or denied that the Swedish "S" Tank (Strv 103) is a viable option for this build?

I'll tell ya what. Since I, in my under-educated exuberance, posted the photo of it, we'll allow it. I guess that can go for anything I hung a picture of in the thread.

Gaz, that's excellent news. I'll do the Airborne 6lber then and leave the others for another day.

Hello everyone,
This is a stock photo of what I will enter for this campaign. I have one in my stash and I will take the proper photo along with the time stamp when this campaign starts. It's the Verlinden 120mm German Tank Hunter with Panzerschreck Normandy
Thanks,
Joseph

No one's committed to do Molotov cocktails as yet???
Looking forward to this campaign -- aside from armor, there's quite a variety of potential builds to watch for!

Joseph,
That's cool! I was hoping for a wide variety of kits and skillsets for this campaign. Looking forward to yours!
Tat,
The Molotov Cocktail has been lurking in my head as a possibility for the campaign for a while before I posted the photo. Maybe somebody has a skillset for this. I don't. Please, no 1/1 scale Molotov cocktails at your local armor display, friends!

I actually lack unbuilt anti-tank weapons in my stash so I had to rummage around and discovered that I did have a kit, but it's Sci-Fi which Sci-Fi has been approved .
It's this...Industria Mechanika's 1/35 "Pawn Brigade."
My intention is to build all three figures, but obviously I will concentrate on the figure with the rocket launcher if I cannot build the entire fire team.

No worries, Peter. I think every time I read a post of yours, my sci-fi model knowledge increases ten-fold.

Wow! What a great campaign already just from reading all the comments, and we're still a few weeks out... sheesh.
I've got a few possibles in the stash as well and quite a varied sort: Ju87/G in 1/144 or 1/72, StugIIIF in 35th, and a late war AT vingette in 35th, 25th, or even 1/16. Yes 1/25th!
Heck I even found a strain of those ancient ESCI armor kits in 1/72nd.
Right now I'm leaning towards the vingette idea.
But who knows...
Gaz I gotta tell ya thanks dude
Pretty positive buzz heading into this.
Dave

Dave,
You're very welcome! I'm glad that you feel as good as I do about the campaign. I'm looking forward to seeing your choice of build.
I think we're all gonna see some great stuff here.

Positive Buzz? I agree, this is my first campaign, and the idea of building "with a goal in mind" elevates the hobby for me, planning and researching when otherwise I would just build! Looking forward to learning and getting knocked out by some of the awesome entries...;-)Wow! Clayton,
I'm glad you're feeling it too. For me, sharing in the build experience and experiences of others elevates the hobby to another level.
Fun is better!

Jeff, if it's that small, I'll avoid it for sure. I'm all thumbs.
Gaz
Hey! Don't let ME of all people scare you away from this kit!
I really stopped because I had something better to do... wanted to 'wait it out' and see if any aftermarket parts/upgrades came out... and/or a new release of it?!
My skills since then have improved so going back to it won't have the same cringe factor it once had over me! That's why I hung onto it.

Hi Everyone!
Only a couple of weeks, and the Campaign kicks off! My fingers are itching to get to grips with my tank hunter. Here are some more photos:
Anybody thought about doing a bust of him?
I gotta build me an A-10 someday.
It's funny how Google works. I typed in British 17Lb and I got this fish!.
I know this is a 6pdr...but it's a road I wouldn't want to travel.
I always thought the version without the tail-gunner looked best.
I don't know much about helicopter armaments. But it seems like this system would give a tank hunter multiple chances on one unfortunate target.
I don't know what the caption for this photo says, because it's in Russian. But I'd say that somewhere there was a tank hunter smiling.
Remember, you don't want to stand behind most tank hunters.
Shark-mouth, anyone?
You'd hate to wake up one morning, pop the hatch and see this!
Airborne!
Meanwhile...in Switzerland...
I like this one. Gun at full recoil, dust and smoke from firing. Good diorama stuff here.
Of course, General Mud made it difficult for everyone.
Tank hunter or innocent bail of hay?
I guess some landscapers are passive tank hunters?
Is it real, or photoshopped?
See you soon!

Yes Gaz that Churchill did exist. It carried a 3in gun. A small number was produced but as I understand none were put into combat.

I am thinking going in with a HS 129B3 with 75mm cannon.
I might change my mind a million times yet, but very tempted by the B3 version.

AFV Club released a kit on the 3 inch Gun Carrier Churchill.
And Tat's correct, only about 50 were made but never saw combat.
