Hi,
I'm joining this campaign with Panda's 1:16 Pz.38(t), with Spade Ace metal tracks, Aber 'Basic Set No.1' and Aber fenders, and gun barrels. The kit itself only has ~330 parts, not counting all the track links, but the photoetch kit adds many parts, and I'm scratchbuilding the interior, So I'm comfortable that it'll be north of 750 parts.
I took the pic with my phone, so the date is on my Fire tablet at the top of the screen.

Cheers!

Here is my start up Photos.
It is the Takom kit 03-01-2045 King Tiger Henschel Turret with full interior.

A great kit, Tom! Are you going to show the interior by a hull cutout or similar?

I have thought about that, but this is just a warmup kit.
I will post a lot of in progress photos.
After this is done, I plan to make the 1/16 scale trumpeter kit with the clear plastic hull and turret.

What color/brand did you use Clark? That looks to be spot on for my Morser Karl-Gerat...

Great progress, Cary! Although not a WWII specialist, I agree with Clayton that the your color choice looks really good. Looking forward to seeing more of this!

Thanks. Glad you like it. I was tempted to go with the camo scheme that you see on the Leopold that's now at Fort Lee. I have several pictures of that one that I took when it was at APG. I'm just not good with an airbrush though, and I didn't want to mess up a good build with a lousy paint job, so I went with the grey. I have to give credit to the person at my LHS who steered me to this shade though. I was going to go with RLM Grey but he gave me a lesson on German paint colors. Now if they can just keep enough pain on hand to get me through building this monster!

About to wind up the Tank Hunters campaign; just figures and base to complete, though it always takes more time than one thinks. I figured any Dragon Pz IV should qualify. The box lists over 1000 parts, almost all of which seem to be used. The photo etch set should make up for any of those blued out in the instructions as well as the usual unused parts for options. Surprisingly, there is some enhancement still possible with photo etch on a 1000+ piece kit. I'll be counting parts just to be sure and keep track. Hope the images show.

It's been a while since my last post and I have pretty much completed the half-track. Sorry for the lack of progress shots in-between.
Cargo items come from the spare box and an AFV club set for 88mm Kwk 43 shells and boxes (The decals were old and disintegrated upon contact...). Figures are a mix from Masterbox, Dragon and Tamiya. I'm not so good at figure painting so there's not much to show for. I just feel that they'll add some liveliness to the scene that I want to depict.
Unfortunately, I glued the halftrack to my diorama base (which is still a WIP) before I took the photo... doh... anyway, enjoy.
I will post the flakvierling when I have the time.

Thanks Christian.
Ok so on to the flakvierling which I will be depicting in towed mode.
The gun itself is from the same bronco kit as the sWs but the trailer is from the ancient tamiya flakvierling kit. A little bit of work was needed to mate the Bronco flak with the Tamiya mount and trailer.
After that, just a matter of painting in dark grey and some light weathering.
With that done, I thought it looked kinda plain and exposed.
Solution? Camo net! Good ol' medical gauze soaked in tea then lightly painted with brown and green shades when dried. The next step would be to add patches of foliage to it which will come later.
