Tat, I'll be following your DML Kettenkrad build with interest. Want to see if you figure out a way to get the front tire to sit flat once the tracks are installed. I had to go all Frankenstein on the front fork of mine to get it to work.

Quoted TextLooking good Clayton. That's a nice little kit, I built that for the Trumpeter II campaign. You remind me of the gaps -- though not much on the sides for me, as it was more on the rear that I needed to insert a thin styrene sheet. Are you using the kit-supplied rubber bands? You may need to shorten it a bit.
Anyways, here's what I intend to finish in the next few days:
The build's practically done -- in sub-assemblies. I've started painting the running gear before putting it all together and hopefully finish on time.
Cheers,
Tat
Thank,Tat, and they must have corrected the long track issue, these fit perfect
Your Ketengrad is shaping up nice, I must have 3 of those in the stash somewhere!
Luck is on your side my friend, as I had to contend with super long ones!
In the end I used the Hobby Boss AM tracks (2nd pic), though I got carried away with doing the sag

Thanks Mark. Yes I recall you had that issue reading thru one of the campaigns. Do hope it will not take much work

Thank you fellas. I'm just glad I was able to complete it. Work has really been cutting into my bench time.

Congrats on your finish Dustin.
Here are a couple of pics from early this week:
Mark, I was relieved that there were no issues on getting this to sit flat. Simply popped the front wheel assembly with no adjustments needed. What I was not happy with was that the paint on the DS tracks decided not to get along while I was mounting it!
Finished the wash today and put on a matte clear coat.
Cheers,
Tat

Turned out rally nice, Dustin. Congrats on the finished build!
Tat, you're really close with this one, I think. Bring it over the finish line!
On a side note, I posted a how to on using Flickr as your image gallery a while ago. Hope this might be useful to some of you: http://armorama.com/forums/232523&page=1

Good news about the front fork, Tat. Not so good news about the tracks.
I had a different boxing than yours so maybe they got one right and not the other. Mine also came with indy links so perhaps that made a difference.

Made it just in time, , the Artillery Observation Vehicle is finished. My first airbrushed camo is very suspect, but you gotta start somewhere!
Der Inspektor must have been drunk when he approved this one...
Thanks, Cristian, for a fun Campaign, and looking forward to the next one, when I can hopefully improve my airbrushing, treads, wash technique, weathering, photography...yada yada yada......

Clayton, looks real good for your first airbrush job. What kind of brush did you use and what paint?

You are far too kind Ken, Thanks! It's an Iwata NEO I got on E-bay for $40, and the paints I used are Vallejo Model Air- I didn't want to mess around with thinning paint just yet...
