I'll be finishing up on the interior
Here's the right side wall Ammo rack, the instructions would have it installed before closing up the hull. If you do that, you'll find that it's in the way. Much easier to leave it for later.

Ready for install.

Installed

Here's the roof plate.

There's a cable that go's on the periscope range finder , I'll add that after painting when it's fixed in position.

The final parts I have is the Close in defense weapon , or what ever it's called.

It could probably use another coat of paint.

A little interior weathering then on to the exterior.
Finished for now.

A little work on the Hull.

The front edges should have been molded a hair longer . there's a nice gap here. The front parts are resting on the front armor plate, so all you can do is putty up the gap.
This is the right side.

All puttied up and sanded.

The rear is a lot better fit, it just needs a little putty to even everything out

That's all for now.

The Sprockets.

If you want to be able to rotate the Sprockets you'll have to trim the inside back as shown, otherwise they are a verry tight fit.

I'm starting to paint some of the sub assemblies .

I assembled the inner and outer wheels painting the part that goes on the inside with Red oxide primer.

I shimmed the Gun Barrel to keep it centered in the Mantlet.

That's all for today.

The assembled & painted Wheels waiting to be paired up.

A close up of one pair of the Wheels.
It is very difficult to get them to go together , I had to do a lot of reaming on the mating surfaces. If I had to do this again I would scrape and trim the mating surfaces where the inner and outer join to make the pairs.

The assembled Wheels

Some of the primer shows, this is what I wanted.

The next step is to install them, I hope they fit.

The Sprockets and Idlers ready for installation .

The Wheels and the rest installed , no problems here.

I'll be working on the track next, this is going to take some time as some of the links have a lot of flash and there's a lot of push pin marks that need filling.

I finally have the Track cleaned, filled & ready for assembly. It took about 3 days to clean and fill the flat links, the ones with the guide horns were good to go as is.

Now to assemble them.

I have the Track assembled , after painting them with Testors Gun metal buffing metalizer I tied them to a pair of yard sticks to hold them while adding the wear areas.

Then joined the ends together to make a loop. If you try joining the ends together on the model you'll be in for a real job.

It's a tight fit around the Sprocket.

If you removed the tab on the inside of the hole where the Idler mounts you will be able to adjust the Idler to the position that you want.

I used a small block to hold the Idler in position while the glue set up.

This isn't fun anymore ,

Here it's all masked off, I filled the spots where the external equipment goes with a little white glue for masks. They will come off easily after the painting is done. I'll add the external parts later and then it's touch up time.

Here the Base Coat is applied .

Now for the Masks for the Camo.
I'm finished for now.

I've been working on the small bits that go on the rear hull.
There's a lot of mounting holes that need enlargement .

The Jack and its mount are assembled.

The round edge goes on top.

I screwed up here and put the flat edge on top, on this side it will fit either way.

The exhaust pipes look like they'r angled, they'r not it's just the camera angle making them look this way.

I'm still working on this section.

This should finish up this end except for the weathering .
The tail light is just a solid piece, I carved out the light section and replaced it with a piece of clear sprue.

I.m not shure of its color, some say Blue & some say Red.

I switched it to Red.

I could always switch it back to Blue.
That's all for now.

I've been working on the Gun Travel Lock.
I goofed and forgot to add the top mounts when assembling the piece, I had to cut the top mounts to get them over the rod.

The mount for the light will not fit to the location mark on the hull, you should install the electric line for it first then the Travel Lock & finally the light.

I'll touch up the paint later.
