May I enter with an Abrams? I have two needing to be finished. I just finished a Fury Sherman last night, but didnt have the way to prove it was unfinished unlike these two.

So I got the interior of this tiny tank/tank destroyer built, painted and weathered. Good fun but lots of tiny parts and order of operations really mattered here.
Added some extra wiring and a couple of bolts here and there. Progressing nicely with the exterior and should have an update on that later in the week.

Gary- thanks, I have been putting these off to long. one used to be camo till I stripped it to try another idea.

Jesper- Those came out great. If I didnt have so much other stuff to build I would be buying some of them to do also.

Thanks for the comments on my walkers, guys. Much appreciated.

Chris, great job on the interior. Will it be visible once the model is finished?

Evidently I will not be using photobucket anymore so here is a test image from my new Imgur account.

Looks good, Doug! It's a shame about PhotoBucket. That's why I don't trust "The Cloud".

Thanks Jesper, yeah I will have the drivers hatch open up front, one of the rear engine doors open, and the top is an open top superstructure housing the 47mm gun. Eventually, I want it in a vignette where the crew are working on the broken down engine.

With photobucket now borked, here's what my build looked like originally

Since then I have sprayed a new wash coat of colour as I wasn't happy with the wide variation, so now they are a bit closer while not being exactly the same,

I will be resurrecting the thread I started when I originally began these builds as there will be some extra changes with aftermarket and scavenged equipment from other kits.

Christian, I know how you feel. My Merkava has been stalled for months.

Gary, I am just like you! I suck at models but I like building them (just not painting them). But that's fine; it's a hobby, not a job.

Anyone mind if I jump in? I have a Tamiya M60A1 that has been sitting partially built for at least 5 years.

Making SOME progress with the Amiot 143. I only wish there were some better pictures, schematics, etc., of the interior available for research. Some of this is sheer guesswork. While I'm okay with some guesswork, I'd rather have something concrete to work with.

too right.. I think I finished the wheels before I stalled on that build again.. so it did not make it to AMPS 17, maybe Armorcon this fall.
I ought to dig it out tomorrow and see what else I have to do on it.

Carry on, I hear they can be 'finished'...

made a little progress over the night. I am working with two different Abrams from academy. both will end up in desert scheme but will still be different.

The first was once painted in a green camo I had tried.

After once thinking I was okay with it, I guess I just kept wanting to do an idea so striped it and repainted.

Managed to get the rear wheel cover cut off.

Some weathering done. But it has much more to go still.

Some small progress being made. I've started the pilot's position, mounted the ladder to the cockpit, added the front ball turret flooring, and navigator's chart table. Now working on the ventral gondola machine gun mount (the machine gun will have to be scratch built, as well), flooring, and canopy. Slow work but I'm enjoying this first significant foray into scratch building.
