Christian, that's an excellent little vignette. As has already been said, it really evokes WWI with no trench or gas mask in sight.

Christian,
What an awesome job you've done! I've barely even started and you're done...complete with base and all! I think you have well captured the atmosphere and mood of that photograph!

Johanan

Thanks, Peter! Your cat is shaping up nicely as well. Are you building it as an A1 or an A2? As you see, mine is an A1, to be painted nice plain Gelboliv.

Have fun,

Jerry

I'm building the A2 so a nice contrast. Ummm'd and ahh'd about whether to do the display model in the scheme depicted on the box, but I think I'll run with the standard Nato 3 colour. Are you still planning to do the one off trial Desert scheme?

Dustin, thanks a lot! I'm raring to get some paint on it, but DHL is taking its sweet time getting the spare part for my airbrush to me...next weekend I'll start.

Hi, Peter - actually, I wasn't going to do the trial desert scheme, but just the stardard Bundeswehr one-color scheme before they starting using NATO 3-color in the 80s, like this:

And, Doug, cool that you're doing the ZSU - more SPAAG action!

Have a good one,

Jerry

I hesitated a bit before jumping on board this one as I am involved in a couple of others ATM and I am in grad school while working. But, I started one anyway and since I made it to the paint stage I feel confident I can finish by December as getting started painting is my weak spot.

So, here's my entry:

And a few progress shots:

I am replacing the plastic base with a wooden one I intend to paint as concrete - I anticipate this will take me up to the deadline.

Very nice entry, that thing is a beast!

Fellas, I just want to send out an apology because I haven't been as active here in this campaign as I feel I should be. My work schedule has changed and I'm smooth covered up at work. But please don't let that stop y'all from entering and building awesome kits.

I almost wish I had the room to build a flak tower diorama, but the wife is already going to freak out when I tell her I'm building a giant display case in the den this year, big enough to hold an HKM B-17G Flying Fortress!

No probs, Dustin, real life has a very annoying habit of getting in the way of interesting and relaxing fun....

I'd love to see the Gepard with the Stinger mounts on the side of guns. Not really sure how common they were/are though.

Started on the T-55, already seen some room for improvement. Going to include some damage on the glacis ERA blocks.
