Looking good Chris, but clock is ticking.....for me too

Getting drenched in petrol... how to quit chain smoking in one easy lesson hey Robin!

My Father had a 1952 British WD jerry can he used to keep in his car for when the tank ran dry... the fuel gauge didn't work. Later it became the mower fuel can.... which is how I learned the spout was offset (and just how heavy they are full and the only good way to pour from it - as Robin has already explained). Now it is in the loving hands of his eldest son.

Mike: any thoughts on what you will do about the trees?

@ Ken – For starters, I’ve purchased some tree kits from The Scenic Factory.

@ Chris – Looking good! ... Unfortunalely my US version didn’t come with the optional between the seats cup holder! Lol!

Cheers!🍺

How do I delete pictures from the gallery and my gallery since I uploaded two pictures twice.

From your own gallery:
Open the gallery from your profile.
Click the picture you want to delete.
You get screen showing the image, some facts about it and a row of icons. One of the icons looks like a blue screen with a yellow pencil. Click this icon to Edit the image, if you let the mouse pointer hover over the icon the text 'Edit photo' will pop up. In the edit window at the bottom there is a prompting text which reads: "If you want to delete this image completely, check this box" Next to the tick-box there is a warning: "(CAREFUL - once it's gone it's gone)"
Tick the box and then 'Submit changes'.

If you can't see the icons you need to check the upper right corner of the screen where you find these links/buttons:
"· Home · Search · Profile · Upload Photos · Logout "
If the last word is not Logout you need to Login at the Kitmaker level.

When I took a look in the Jeeps gallery I could see the Edit photo icon when I clicked the link so I assume that it would be the same procedure in the campaign gallery as in your own gallery.
/ Robin

I deleted one of the images in the campaign gallery but it seems as if there was only one copy of each picture but TWO thumbnails linking to the same photo. Deleting the image under one thumbnail killed the single image so you will need to upload that image again. Sorry for the f-up.

I cleaned up a couple of photos I'd put there and all the Kubels and started from scratch. Now I'm good with what to do in the future.

Only one day left and I am not quite done; grad school ate up a ton of time. I have my Kubelwagen almost done, but have not weathered anything. Truthfully though, I don't weather my models much unless I have a diorama planned so there is context for the dirt. However, it is the ambulance version and I don't have a completed figure to go with it. I am very slow with painting figures. I do have a stretcher, though.

Not to worry Shell. Rule for completing the GB is it must be fully painted and assembled and there must be pics in the Gallery. It does not have to be weathered, or have figures, etc.

Just as well, as I am waiting for replacement Archer transfers so can't weather mine until that is done. Have applied the stars and other decals, just not the regn no. Doing the last of the detail painting now.

There is no better motivation than time pressure
I agree with the opinion that weathering is not a compulsory part of calling a model finished. I personally don't like to hide all the details behind mud and rust.
Cheers,
Zsolt

ps.: My Kübel is ready, this evening I manage to shoot some pic and upload, and tadaaaaamm

ps.#2: What is the procedure if the campaign owner does not show up? I hope Knuckles is well but he had not visited the forum since Aug '17.

Good evening,
I try to upload my pictures to kitmaker gallery but in the last 30 minutes I was staring at the "server busy, try again shortly" message and now I have to go... so: I've finished and photographed my Kübelwagen and it seems to be successful in uploading them BUT I can not check that... so I insert some pics here - just to be sure
Here is my baby:

cheers,
Zsolt

A bouncing baby Kubel. A fine addition to the family Zsolt. A really well finished model.

Yes, I sure hope Knuckles is okay. I emailed him a couple of times but got no reply...

I expect the campaign moderators are keeping an eye out. If not I will PM one to have your ribbons added. I have been asked to take over the Armored CarMax Group build as Clayton has some personal stuff to attend to, so hopefully I can quasi moderate the finish of this one too.

I'm tapping out. Time and procrastination got the best of me here. This is as far as I got and there's still about 30% more needing to be done. BTW I did find the originator of this campaign recently active on Facebook so he is still around.

Thanks for joining in anyway Chris. There is always the unfinished builds GB to think of.

Thanks too for the heads up on Christian. Glad he is okay.

I'm sure he had his reasons for bowing out.

Well I am calling it done for the build. I still need to add the registration number and then weather it, but for the sake of the time frame Its done. The pics are way off colour, except the close up, that is truer to real life.

Zsolt, Chris, and Peter – Weathered or not, those builds look awesome!

Can’t seem to find the original campaign page — maybe it’s being moved out of ‘active campaigns?’ Where does it go from there?

So who’s runnning this motor pool anyway?

Isn't today the actual last day? I may have mine finished enough to qualify as done this afternoon.

I think the BMO is AWOL 🙂. The past campaigns are listed somewhere under that tab. Not sure how you pull them up.

Thanks Mike. I will post final pics (hopefully with better colour resolution, when the Archer Rego numbers have arrived and I've been able to finish weathering it.

Go to the top of the screen and follow the link Campaigns>Main>campaigns and a list of all of them comes up. You can filter by active or completed by ticking the boxes.

Not sure why it was dropped from the main list as it is still an Active Campaign in the Discussion Group listing.... and yes last day was 01/03/2018 so if you have finished upload your pics to the gallery asap to get the ribbon

If the ribbons aren't allocated over the next few days, I'll contact John P
