Hi Jerry - excellent work as always! I've got to say tho, the picture posted on the 21st - the two soldiers, one with the MG, and in the distance, the fellow in the door really captures it! As Mike pointed out the posture of the guy is great - the sentiment captured tho - just as strong - these two thinking, while rattled "what do we do next?" - they seem to realize they need to do something! But have to be smart - or else!
The additional figures are strong too - their situations...not great either!

Thanks Nick,for the kind and as usual,inciteful comments. I am by no means bragging when I say that the wounded guy in the doorway is the best figure overall that I have ever done. He just "clicks" for me for some reason. I have done better painting in the past but this one just works.
Looking forward to your next update,which will probably be epic as usual,

Excellent work as always, Jerry.
The figures look great. I like how you have captured the various emotions and fatigue in the figures standing but still taking cover.

Got a lil sumthin sumthin done on the PAK and assembled the next batch of small parts to sort and detail,after clean up.

Going beautifully Jerry, seems to me you’ve taken your special alchemy even higher - the doorway guy (Jan 12) and this gunner are so…focused? Tensioned? I’m not sure what the right word is, your figs are always convincingly animated but these two have something extra. Whatever it is, if you could bottle it I’d like several cases.

Here are the kit supplied ammo cases.
The 3 round metal cases on the left were never issued,so I can place them in the bin. The wooden box on the right is too wide for the issue PAK40 box. The individual metal cases are quite nice from dragon,but could always use upgrades.
Here is the cut down wooden crate and detailed metal cases. I found 2 types of clasps after an hour of searching various pics.
The metal case at bottom has the shell partially pulled out and "at the ready".
From what I gather,these individual cases were issued along with each new gun,just like the canvas breach covers and cleaning equipment,as standard. The resupply was done with the wooden crates with the aim that the metal cases would be the ready combat stock.

I have had an easy time with this on because I have never had so much background info one an historical incident before. I have eye witness accounts from several German sources plus one from the Allied side as well and wonderful pics from Sean and Frenchie concerning the exact spot. I had to use some slight artistic changes because of space constraints but not too much. It has been a big learning experience for me,
