Not sure if you found this website or not, but here are some pics from it:
http://www.aussiemodeller.com.au/pages/History/Vehicle/O%27Dowd_BushmasterRWS-TS13.html

One of the reasons some pics look grey - the window blind

The other is the dark interior when no light is in the compartment

But with something close to the window

Then the front and sides from the inside

So it depends if you want to model the effect or the real colour.....

Thank you for the pictures Peter.
I finally decided to let the windows clear. As I have closed all the hatches and the rear door I guess the interior will dark enough.
I applied the decals today. Applying the spare wheel decals is a real pain!

Very Nice Olivier. I see you are doing the RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force)version by the circled kangaroo decals

Most pics show both decals are black , not Tan on one side, but this was at an air show and was dressed for the occasion.

I have always wanted to do one of these. Even though it never went beyond prototype :

Done filters.

Also did mini pinwash, hand flat coat, but no picture yet. Will start scratching and dusting now.

This will be my eventual entry.

I have both a drivers compartment set and a turret set, though I think the turret set might be wrong for this kit.
I'll be shoehorning the drivers set in regardless.

Hi all
I finally completed the basic painting. Some mistakes were present in the Showcase Models instructions. So it took more time than I expected to cross this line.
It's now time for a pinwash and a subtle weathering as this specific decoration was applied for an air show.
I'm really disappointed by the colors of the decals which depict the fabric covers for the spare wheel and the rear mudguards. I can't believe that Showcase Models managed to miss them that way. The seat covers are a bit too light as well but the interior is much less visible.

Looks great Olivier. As for decals, dust should sort this out, unless you want mudguards clean too.

The Panzer 1 is looking very nice Darius. nice paintwork so far.

Olivier, she is still looking fine as is. Quite impressive.

whilst the vehicle was present at the air show, these vehicles are used as airfield defence and can get quite dusty. We are the driest continent on the planet! Unless you are going for the spit and polish version, a thin darker wash may improve the decal colouring and a bit of dust to tone it down may bring it up to your expectations.

Jason from ARMS Corp models is no longer trading unfortunately, but his decal sheet for camo covers on Australian vehicle equipment like the wheel covers is available from Mouse House - scroll down just past half way:

http://www.mheaust.com.au/MHE/Decals/MAD61926.htm

if the link doesn't work, google 'Mouse House decals'

I have some progress on my 251 as well. More to follow soon.

Nice job Jesper. Are you sure the number of discs you painted is accurate?

Peter, I'll try to have a look at the replacement decals.
I think I'll keep the Bushmaster clean but a bit of dust on the undercarriage is logical even during a show.

No, on the contrary I am quite sure the camouflage is historically inaccurate. This model will be used for a wargame for battles in 1947, so I took some artistic license
At the same time I am testing the use of decals as camouflage. Not perfect, but I am learning for each model.

Oliver and Jesper, your models are looking great.

I recently got my M113 pretty much completed prior to the Tulsa Figure Show. I was not able to get the figures I am including with it completed, but they will be in time for Soonercon. Here are some photos of it in the hotel room prior to the Tulsa Figure Show. I could probably add a few more items on the top of the hull, but for now I am calling her done.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers,
James

Very nice bucket James

Jesse, your Nashorn is great too. You could get the running gear dirtier though.

Thanks, Olivier.

Jesse, I think your Nashorn looks great, but I do agree with Olivier that it needs a bit more dirt to it. Not much, but at least a bit on the running gear and tracks.

Cheers,
James

I just completed the figure manning the .50. He is a conversion of Bravo 6 and Hobby Fan with a Hornet head. I plan on adding more figures to the vehicle and scene later, but for the next few shows I will display it as just an armor model.

Thanks for looking.
Cheers,
James

Thanks guys. There is plenty of dirt on it, but the flash from the camera washed it out! But maybe I'll throw some more on it anyway. AFV's can't be too dirty!

The interior set came with some film instruments to go with the photoetch front panel, but it was way too small. So I found a suitable image on the net and cleaned up. Could have done a bit better job but it's not going to be very visible anyway without a borescope of some kind.

The rest of the interior is progressing.

Slow progress on my Bushmaster. Still need to add a couple of details like the MG mounts and change the poor canvas decals by some coming from Mouse House Entreprise.

Looks great Olivier!
Mine is almost finished too. Got to ad some shine with the pencil on track edges, some dust here and there, but for me, its almost there. If anyone spots any serious things to be fixed speak out now
